Apparently what bothers you is the tenor and the tone of the briefing and it was meant to present the president in a favorable light..We'll hear a response from the White House about that before dark.
I think I was right all along: this is nothing except Clarke NOT being listened to.

NO, it's about Clarke being peed off that his ass-kissing was not rewarded with that #2 position. He is gonna pay big time for that...and Kerry is going to have to end up disavowing him as far as being part of his campaign.

I think the "Paul Revere" reference is so apt. He just described himself as the lone voice warning warning! But nobody would listen and that dunce Gorelick ends practically shedding a tear over how nobody else really had it in them as he did.
Oh oh...Lehman up and saying how he's admired Clarke. I sense a big "BUT" coming up here...
