The most important bungle of the Clinton administration (which Clarke was complicit in) is the refusal of the Sudan offer to hand over Osama. Osama in Afghanistan was virtually unreachable. Clinton allowed him to go there. That is the single most important thing. In addition, the Gore Commission on aviation in 96 (after the planes as missiles possibility was already known) was a total quid pro quo for campaign cash--they didn't force the airlines to adopt any new security measures (i.e. cockpit doors) in exchange for money for re-election. None of the Rinos on this heinous kangaroo court committee have (or will) mentioned any of this. What a bleeping joke!
America deserves btter than this.

Obviously, I meant "i.e. fortified cockpit doors"

ABC News just highlighted his mea culpa and repeated the lie that terrorism was not a high priority in the new Bush Administration before 9/11.
