Roemer instructed Clark to disregard the Angle tape!?That is how I interpret his remarks to Clarke when he said "There are a lot of distractions out there today".
What else has surfaced *today* to distract from his intent to bring down President Bush except his own voice on tape contradicting his malicious book?

These commission members don't have the cajones to ask followup questions. They ask one question and move to the next one! Geez. Clarke is getting away scot free.

Gordon now questioning.
To: Timeout
Now that would have been interesting.....
What is all this, 'do you think/feel?' type line of questioning? Sheesh.
To: gswilder
I am hoping Kerrey gets to question Clark. I don't think he is going to be so taken in by his lies.

this guy is a clown....
America's Most Wanted my foot. Every PD in the country would get phone calls about local 7-11 clerks.

I am afraid to say, this is bad for Bush. Very bad...Yeah we know. You say it every chance you get.

Clark SAYS he asked to be reassigned because he was so frustrated with the inaction of the Bush administration.

He "wishes" he had known what the FBI knew - he'd like to think he would have pulled out all the stops - had the 2 AQ mugshots all over America's Most Wanted, etc.
Delusions of grandeur increase by the minute.

This whole thing makes me think that Hillary also has Clarkes FBI files.
To: StarFan
Unfortunately, I see no perjury as the Angle tape was a WH briefing not said under oath. I pray they ask him what version we're to believe. The perjury is in what he's saying today, not what he said then. He will never be charged with perjury, but the GOP has a lot of money to get this out.
This stuff will have more impact in October than now. In the meantime it gives conservative pundits free rein to pound him unmercifully.
To: Miss Marple
Gordon better slam him hard. Rush is reading all sorts of memos from committee members complaining about Clarke and his lack of information or availability. Basicially calling him totally incompetent. No wonder he was fired.

Why hasn't the FBI Chief LOUIS FREEH been called to testify do you think?Someone earlier mentioned Freeh also. Interesting, isn't it, that for some reason he's being protected from this sham.

It looks like to me on January 25th, 2001, they told him he wasn't going to play in the big game.

He just used the phrase "Not sexy enough"
Is that like Blair "sexing up the dossier"?
I want to know if he knows Joe Wilson.

This guy is hung up on the meetings he chaired ... and hung up on his titles and relative positions. If I was interviewing this guy for a job I'd never hire him - he's talking about how suggested titles "weren't sexy enough" for him.
