Bustamante won in Cal, just like the LAT polls showed.

The partisan media will lie baldly up til Election Day. Afterwards, they will run analyses and commentaries pondering on why they didn't see the defeat of Ketchup Boy coming.

Not to defend the L.A. Times, but truth matters. Their Sept. 25-29 poll had Arnold at 40%, Bustamante at 32% and McClintock at 15%. Actual election results were Arnold at 49%, Bustamante at 32% and McClintock at 13%.
I do not mean this in any way to indicate that I think polls are accurate. Not so. See this case study of the California recall polls I posted on FR awhile ago.
