For everybody's information, Abel Maldonado has cosponsored legislation to give in-state college tuition rates to illegals.
He's about as much 'on the fence' as I have Britney Spears' flat tummy.

Thanks for the info.
We'll have to make some very special phone calls tomorrow to help them make their decisions. :-)
Thanks to the internet and FR these people are going to be held responsible for their actions.
We recalled on governor we can definitely recall a state senator, assemblyman and/or another governor.

More FYI, and how to apply it.
I attended the traffic court in Fresno last month as a spectator. There were approximately two dozen people there for driving without a license. Of these, two-thirds were Spanish speaking only, and I suspect here illegally.
Here's what I found most interesting and disturbing. All of them, whatever their language, were driving cars they had borrowed. To my SHOCK, not a single owner of these vehicles was present. Vehicle owners are not cited. They are simply required to pay impound fees. This situation is not unique to Fresno County. It is occurring throughout the State of California.
I've presented my concerns to the councilman serving my area, and the police. Such vehicles are being impounded, but I want these owners cited right along with the illegal drivers. They should be cited and made to appear before the court just like these drivers.
The fines the illegal drivers received was $540. I'd like to see fines of $2000 or more handed to the vehicle owners for PUBLIC ENDANGERMENT, and make it mandatory they attend traffic schools. This in addition to all impound fees they have to pay. That, or allow the local community to auction the vehicles and place proceeds into the general fund of that community.
It would help if everyone contacts their local elected officials and police agencies to have more emphasis placed on the vehicle owners. Turn the screws on the vehicle owners and most of these illegal drivers will have nothing to drive.

The Democrats want to tell 70% of Californians to go take a hike. We need to start fighting back and making it clear to Republicans we are opposed to drivers' licenses for illegal aliens on PRINCIPLE. As it stands the Democrats can enact a bill that takes effect next year but to defeat an inevitable referendum, they would like to have it passed as urgency bill that takes effect immediately. We can deny them that underhanded manuever if the GOP caucus in each house of the State Legislature to a man and a woman votes NO. And we must keep putting the heat on Arnold to veto any bill that passes the State Legislature that confers a driving privilege upon illegal aliens.

I listened to John and Ken yesterday too; proof positive that the squeaky wheel definitely gets the grease. Great work J&K! Thanks for posting this one.
