All is Not Lost.... in Translation Ajay Hooda [Arthniti Capital] | POSTED: 03.20.04 @22:09

EEE US's balanced statement on outsourcing doesn't come as a surprise as technologists and educators don't generally have the strong compulsions of politicians and unionists. A factor could be remaining intellectually honest by force of habit of .

What is needed is a cool headed dialogue at international forums like Dravos, and not the provocative and emotional monologue that is being witnessed from both sides . At times the dialogue of the deaf goes some think like this:

" Millions of jobs high tech jobs have been lost, more will go, America will loose it's tech edge".

"Less then 0.25 million IT & BPO jobs have been created in India in over a decade, and many of these low paid stressful call center jobs find no takers in USA anyway .Others could be gone because of out dated skills or low employee productivity. Every American who looses a job thinks it has gone to India. US tech edge remains sharp as ever as it owns the IPs that are produced here by US cos into R&D. India has 16% of the world population and its share of trade remains in poor single digits, so why the unnecessary hoo haaa. "

The Price Of Efficiency

Stop blaming outsourcing. The drive for productivity gains is the real culprit behind anemic job growth

What on earth is going on in the U.S. labor markets? Demand for goods and services is the strongest in years, and profits are going through the roof. Companies are spending again on new equipment, while starting to restock their depleted inventories. Yet they are not hanging out the "help wanted" signs as they did in earlier
economic recoveries. If past business cycles are any guide, by now robust GDP growth -- 6% in the second half of 2003, with 5% widely expected in the current quarter -- should be creating more than 200,000 jobs per month to help restore the 2.7 million positions lost since the recession hit in early 2001...

If your stupid tagline is in response to MY tagline, you are more ignorant than most trolls. Do try to keep up, dear. My tagline is a quote from your very own guy, John 'effin' Kerry.

I am conservative to the core and believe in free and fair trade, capitalism, market forces, traditional family values etc.etc. .

Kerry my fiend is a big big hypocrite. His family fortune thrives on outsourcing and he goes blah blah against it. Fist let him return all the ill gotten wealth made on the back of US workers if he thinks it is so. If this is a forum for conservative values then don't loose them cheap. At times one has to pay a price for values or it is just easy opportunism.
