All fifteen GOP senators are firm:
NO to Cedillo.
Bashing Governor Arnold here is sport for some.
Their guy lost and they can't get over it.
Pity.

Oh Puhleeze. This has nothing to do with attacking Ahnold. It has to do with our citizens being fed up with capitulation to illegal aliens! It's valid criticizm and has NOTHING to do with supporting Democrats in their Ahnold attack.

Are all Republicans beyond reproach no matter what they do? How then do we differ from the typical, brain dead Democrat?

Oh no!!! All that speculation and nothing to come of it!!! What will the paranoid detractors do now?

Oh I know they'll try to sink President Bush's re-election campaign. Like the good little liberals that are posing as conservatives that some of them are. I know that not all of them are posers but there are enough of them around to feed red meat and to incite real conservatives in an attempt to demoralize the voting base.

News from the "Belly of the Beast", the Governor's office is reporting that there is "NO DEAL" with Gil Cedillo on SB1160.

Excellent!

Since 1949, when the United Nations sanctioned its use, the International Driver's License (IDL) has allowed International Travelers to drive freely throughout the world. The bill to give a state drivers license to any foreign national as visitor to California is not in not logic with international customs, the proper document for these drivers is the IDL. Why doesn't the rest of the world have a problem with its visitors? Because they use what is called a passport! Its Ironic that the same people who promote the UN as the ultimate authority, including all the Dems in the CA legislator and the government of Mexico (whom did not support the US in Iraq), these are the same folks that don't want to follow international law when it comes to passports and IDLs!

I'm a believer, are you?

No.

From your own post:

I have confirmed reports that Arnold has NOT agreed to anything...and what he has mentioned as a possibility is too strict for the taste and liking of Cedillo and the Democrats.

Need more?

Schwarzenegger criticized Davis for signing a bill granting driver's licenses to undocumented immigrants, saying, "We're leaving ourselves wide open to terrorism." And he repeated his support for a guest-worker visa program -- "then they can (get) driver's licenses hooked together with insurance."
Sacramento Bee - September 9th, 2003

Schwarzenegger said he opposed the bill because it would "bring danger to our state" because it doesn't require background checks of illegal immigrants.

He did, however, say he supported proposed federal legislation that would help those in the United States illegally become legal residents more quickly.
Sacramento Bee - September 17th, 2003

Why does Schwarzenegger consistently leave the door open for CDLs for Illegals?

Excellent.

As many of you know, Eric's got excellent creds. Eric's show birthed the recall. While some here were happy enough being Bustamante/Davis' only and best hope, Eric was a very active supporter and promoter of the dethroning and replacement of Davis. His show is a bright spot in a dark town; I listen and enjoy every day.

(You can hear it on www.ktkz.com, M-F, 5-9 am. You'll be glad you did!)

Speaking of Rogers and Morgan, she wouldn't be one of the Arnold bashers you mentioned, would she? I don't want to start a food fight or nuthin', but...:)

Some people just can't see the big picture, they get so stuck in their single issue.

"Duf Sundheim, chairman of the state Republican Party, said it is "unclear" whether Prince will qualify his measure. But Sundheim said the GOP has more important political concerns.

"Right now what the party is focusing on is the re-election of President Bush," he said. "We have a real opportunity to pick up legislative seats - especially in the Assembly. And we're working to make sure Bill Jones has the support he needs in his challenging race for the U.S. Senate."

http://www.sacbee.com/content/politics/ca/story/8599050p-9527319c.html

Republicans should keep their eye on the ball and focus on re-electing President Bush and electing as many Republicans as possible.
