No, again the number came from DuBose, and he listed Helms as one of them--which isn't possible, since Helms wasn't a Senator yet.

Three of them were John Tower, Strom Thurmond, and John Stennis.

Stennis was a Democrat.

Three of them were Strom Thurmond, John Tower, and John Stennis. I have never seen the others listed but Goldwater was serving at the time and I don't imagine he was too popular with the Kerry gang.
