If this was a Republican candidate, then there is no doubt in my mind that the Media and press would be all over it.

*****Earth fo familyofman....Earth to familyofman...Kerry ran for senate in the same state that TED KENNEDY has been a senator for decades...the Ted Kennedy that allowed a woman to drown in his car and not report it for 9 hours....

But I could tell from your first sentence posted that you were not in Vietnam.

At this point we need to expand the base. If we can't be motivated to show up and vote then we can never be. We also need to distinguish those of great character from those of questionable character. If the congress and the news networks won't then who will? There is a reason why the NY Times and the Boston Globe are called the "paper of record". It is because it not only reports the news but forms the debate and leads discussion. Although talk radio has an impact it is still like the crazy uncle kept in the closet. We don't talk about it amongst our peers. Not until it appears on the front page does it have impact.

Kerry wrote his own citation for the silver medal. His commanding officer was not available and so Kerry wrote his own citation. Why doesn't anyonw know this? He gave himself his own silver star!!!

sour grapes and useless 'gum flapping' ???? Because I want to know if my possible future president used connections and lied about receiving metals and is now using them to get elected. Should you be on the other site for rats? familyofmetro-man "doesn't like it" when people discuss insensitive topics.

"The election will be determined on current issues - not 20 - 30 year old allegations."
Would that reasoning also apply to the DUI issue in the 2000 campaign that came up at the last minute? They've combed Bush's records that many years back. The AWOL issue is 30 years old. What say you, or what have you said, about the AWOL issue?
Kerry has plenty of dirty laundry that is current to air, and that is what Bush is doing.
People who have concerns about 30 year old issues have every right to air them.
Anyone who is a Vietnam vet has every right to look at Kerry's service, the circumstances of his medals, whatever they want to look at.
It may not be an issue to you but it is very real to a lot of people.
If Kerry is applying for a job, those whom he wants to vote/hire him have every right to examine what they want to.

I was shocked to see ABC news report this last night. They mentioned the guy that made the assassination proposal. Even showed a photo of him.

I agree, we need to expand the base. The media is the enemy of the USA (in my opinion).

Unless he's being coy, Limbaugh undercut the story somewhat by not pointing out that Kerry was under some (at least moral) obligation to report this discussion to the authorities. If people have to be TOLD that, they're probably too stupid to know how to work a ballot, anyway.

....remember I was told that...John Kerry was only in Vietnam for 3-4 months....hardly a tour of duty in 'nam as our other veterans who spent years in 'nam.....

You really ought to call Ted Kennedy's office and inform him that he could have run for President in 2000. The matter of that "drowned girl" is old news, as old as the news of Kerry's treasonous (yes, treasonous) activities and criminal (yes, criminal) associations.

I am trying to figure out exactly what conservative principle familyofman believes in. He seems to be pro-gay marriage, anti-Bush, and anti-religion.

Wasn't one of them Hale Boggs who died shortly after in an plane crash in Alaska?Wasn't Hale Boggs Cokie Robert's father or am I thinking of someone else?
