Were these guys arranging tours so that guys could partake of child prostitutes? It isn't quite clear from this article. The prosecutor has a tough job ahead of him. Even if these guys knew their clients were travelling primarily for the purposes of hiring prostitutes, that's not really their fault.

I'm surprised they were indicted. Democrats love sex. So what's the problem?

As sick as these guys are, I don't see how we can charge these guys for something that goes on in Thailand. Maybe if they are actually collecting money for the prostitutes, but if they are just travel arrangements that happen to be to places where these activities occur, I don't see it. I guess I need more details on what exactly they did, although I imagine their advertising provided strong hints at what goes on there.
To: .cnI redruM
    Let's ask them.

Were a gerbil in your dairy air.
You'll find gayness and antiwar protests.
And lots of homeless people everywhere.

"I wonder if these guys were connected to NAMBLA." Nope, the type of activity one goes to Thailand for is strictly hetereo.
That said, the customers must be totally naive if they think they need guides to find willing female companionship in Thailand or any of a number of other Asian destinations. In fact, in most of those areas, it would be exceedingly difficult to NOT find willing companionship.

A lot of times, child slavery is involved in this sort of 'industry'. Spitzer may have ripped the lid of a big bucket of scum.

At least they can't complain they're not getting what they paid for. So the reason New York cracked down on the companies is they offer politically incorrect heterosexual sex tours. If they were gay meet ups, I betcha they'd be left well enough alone.

It might be a problem. If these guys hire a weasel of a trial lawyer, they could go free. The real key to ruining this scheme, is to find a way to release the names of prominent individuals who have partaken of this agencies 'services'. Once it becomes a public embarrassment, the roaches will quickly scurry away.

I wonder if they have any evidence that these guys helped their customers procure these types of services. I would expect that there is more evidence than is listed in this article. I don't see a case sticking if all these guys did was book trips to Thailand and tell their clients that you can have a really good time in the bars there.

A buddy of mine at work got a little wide on the shooters and told me about a trip he took to the Hedonism Resort. It reminded me of this article. There are some things you REALLY shouldn't tell your coworkers.

    Re: San Fran

On the homeless note - what were the public officials thinking? Did they think they would get less, or more, homeless people when they were paying them $400 a week to be homeless.
I've heard that the "liberal" elites there like to shove homeless people in normal people's faces to make them uncomfortable with their own lifestyle.

Just like paying teenage girls for having children with no husband, do you get more, or less?

If these guys were smart enough to stop there and not take any kick backs from the madams or the pimps, they may not have anything worse than adverse publicity. Spitzer needs to flip a couple of their customers to make his case. I'm guessing that's what happened, or the NYPD would never have sent these clowns downtown.

One of my favorite stories about Rush Limbaugh involves Santa Monica. They declared their city a homeless sanctuary. SO Limbaugh rounded up bus loads of homeless people and dropped them off at the promenade. Classic.
