I heard Nancy G address this "plea deal" on LKL some time ago. Remember that Law Enforcement offered him a deal to reveal where he had dumped Laci. He flat refused. She said, the DA's office is in no way obligated to offer him a deal AGAIN. Especially to SECOND degree murder. I could see him given Life with NO possibility of parole EVER. But second degree could get him a parole hearding down the road.

I remember hearing Nancy G comment on that as well. I still think the DA has plenty of evidence that's being held close to the vest. No way will they offer a deal now.
