Yes, Kim's name is kind of hard to type, lol. (Kim, I think that makes your name the most disinctive one on the board!) After numerous attempts, I finally got it down.

I don't know much about this aspect of the law, but I would think that if he confessed, agreed to life w/o parole, that it would save a ton of money and heartache.
Can he confess to first degree?
I'm sure Amber, all burglars and the local Satanists would be relieved at not having to testify. Sharon and the Rochas can be told what details they want to know about the investigation, but would be spared having Laci's last moments broadcast all over the media.
But I may be whitling in the wind, what education can you legal eagles give us?

I think your right. In fact, I remember reading a couple of months into this nightmare that Sharon and family were Republicans!

The prosecutor would have to agree to such a plea bargain, which they won't do because the Rocha's don't want it. They don't need it. Scott's going down (and i do mean DOWN) and everybody knows it!
