Lesley Stahl Cancels Appearance on Imus Program

Lesley Stahl, CBS News, according to Don Imus, had asked to be on the Imus in the Morning program either over the weekend or yesterday. She was scheduled for 7:29 this morning. Sometime just before 7:00 a.m. she called to say she could not make it because she and her crew had to shoot more footage for another project. Needless to say, the I-Man went ballistic.

My guess is that she was scheduled before the book ownership issue was raised by Drudge, and did not want to face the obvious questions.
