Iraq conspired with Bin Laden to produce WMDs...according to Richard Clarke
Washington Post
Posted on 03/22/2004 10:37:25 PM PST by Jim_Curtis
Clarke said U.S. intelligence does not know how much of the substance was produced at El Shifa or what happened to it. But he said that intelligence exists linking bin Laden to El Shifa's current and past operators, the Iraqi nerve gas experts and the National Islamic Front in Sudan.

But he said that intelligence exists linking bin Laden to El Shifa's current and past operators, the Iraqi nerve gas experts and the National Islamic Front in Sudan. But how can this be? The Democrats (and therefore the mainstream media) have been saying for WEEKS that there never were any WMD's. They're saying that Bush lied to us in order to get his hands on all that Iraqi oil!
I just don't know WHO to believe anymore! /sarcasm

Yes. CBS was quite proud of itself for "getting Clinton elected" via the 60 Minutes "interview" with Bill and Hill. They'd love to do it again, with Kerry. (Or anyone but Bush.)

Mansoor Ijaz just mentioned it on Laura Ingraham's show. I hope Rush gets this. There are at least four large points to made about all of this:
Clarke has Iraq involved in producing WMDs as late as December 1999
Clarke linked Iraq to Bin Laden in cooperation to create WMDs.
Clarke claims it "would have been derelict in his (Clinton's) duties if he didn't blow up the facility." based on the evidence at hand. How is it that Bush would not have been derelict had he failed to act?
If Clarke was wrong, he is a crackpot without any credibility.

BUMP! Somehow Kerry and Clark reminds me of this joke.
With all the sadness and trauma of today's world,
it is worth reflecting on the death of a very important person which almost went unnoticed last week.
Larry La Prise, the man who wrote "The Hokey Pokey," died peacefully at age 93. The most traumatic part for his family was getting him into the coffin. They put his left leg in. . . .and then the trouble started.

Have you ever heard Mansoor Ijaz so spitting mad in your whole life? He wanted to curse (and even said so).
He was ticked big time. He said that if he and Clark were face to face he would have him backed down in just 1 minute.
I believe Monsoor

You guys have pulled together the most important pieces of info in the battle for the truth in the coming election.
Clarke is a dispicable human being, playing fast and loose with the truth, for personal gain, via book sales.
What these articles lay out is that there was an immediate, sure build up to taking out al-Qaeda, as a policy of the Bush Admininstration.
And it was no "checking off boxes" pseudo plan, as in the Clinton Admin.

Interesting...
on a side note...did anyone catch O'reily last night when they were talking about the Clinton/Sudan/Bin Laden deal.
They took him to task for it.

I'm baffled as to why AQ and other terrorists did not attack us during his [Clinton's]
watch. There were intentions and plans to do so.
Remember the Millenium attacks which didn't happen because of bungling and a sharp Border Agent in Washington state ? That was intended to be just as shocking as 9-11, if not in scale, then just because it would have been the first time that the US was attacked by a foreign power since Pearl Harbor (leaving out the Oklahoma City bombing, which in my mind, is still a question).

What connections to Kerry?
He refused to endorse Kerry last night on Charlie Rose and claimed to be above party politics, so this would be interesting.

On Charlie Rose last night, Clarke said that claim of being able to get OBL out of Sudan was a lie.

One thing I liked about O'reily's segment was the quoted several sources inside and outside the former administration that said it was indeed true that the Sudan offered him to us 3 times.

On "60 Minutes" last Sunday, Clarke said that the rubber dinghy attack was so sophisticated that the United States is absolved of any suspicion of intelligence failure.
