Money can't buy happiness but it rents it fairly well.

"the tony Beacon Hill brownstone in Boston"

A little less "tony" after I threw up on the steps of it a couple of years ago.

.... at least five homes and vacation getaways across the country valued at nearly $33 million......heiress to the $500 million family ketchup fortune.

John Kerry has never had to pay a single dollar in income taxes to acquire such wealth. It was inherited by his wife and he simply married into it. His entire Senate salary is merely chump change to him and any income taxes he pays on it does not affect his lifestyle in the least.

This is the man who labels a two income couple working their tails off in high pressure careers as "The Rich".

It must be nice being so wealthy that you have no need to earn any income or worry about income tax rates at any level.

If this is correct than his wife has never voted for him. And won't have a chance to until the Pennsylvania primary next month.

Man, they must have a 500K-1M annual property tax bill.

I don't fault anyone their wealth.

I just fault Mssr. and Madame Jean Francois Kerry du Heinz for trying to destroy what makes America great. Malignant narcissism as they say.

Wait..wait..wait, whose weath is it??

The late (GOP) Sen. John Heinz, who himself inherited his wealth, left his fortune to his young wife Teresa. All the work she did for this fortune was done in bed. All the work that John F. Kerry did for this fortune was done in bed with Teresa.

I don't fault anyone for wealth, and have a real problem with people, generally leftist-Democrats, who intend to tell the wealthy who have EARNED their fortunes how they should spend their money. Those who have earned nothing have no right to enter the debate with those who have risked, and earned something from that risk and hard work.

Kerry "summered" in France with his relatives. Kerry was born into money, and aquired everything he has through two marriages, unless you include his government earnings.

Yes, I fault his wealth, and Teresa's too. But, that's for God to sort out, and He will.

I knew all that already. I wish Heinz had better estate planning but it was his CHOICE not to.

I don't fault inheritance. I'm working hard to leave plenty for my own wife and kids....give em all a leg up amd hopefully one will have some business drive and sense to keep it going for the rest.

Needless to say I am against the death tax.

The problem with the Kerry/Heinz duo is what they do with the money they "acquired" not that they have it.....unless she stole it from Sen. Heinz which I have not yet heard.

Teresa maintains her PA residence for tax purposes.

I hope the RNC exposes this fraudulent scheme, post haste.

Isn't it convenient that the media doesn't say boo, when the wife of a Mass Senator maintains her legal residence in PA in order to shield her fortune and protect his weekly allowance ?

That is weird.

Why? He owned them.

Would you think it was weird if I told you that HIS picture is over the fireplace in that shabby place they live in in Georgetown?

Would it surprise you if it's commonly known in D.C. that when Mrs. Kerry says "My husband" she means John Heinz?

This is the man who labels a two income couple working their tails off in high pressure careers as "The Rich".

Super-rich liberals favor things like income taxes and inheritance taxes because they keep in place those who want to better themselves while leaving the super-rich liberals largely unaffected.

I don't know exactly how such things work, but I think one of the key notions is that liberals who don't need to much of their money to be liquid can start up "charitable foundations" which do a certain amount of "charity" [favoring the liberals' pet causes of course] while providing the liberals with a nice tax-deductable place to stash their income. When the liberals die, anything they had as personal assets can go into these foundations [tax free of course] which can in turn then earn tax-free investment income until eventually they pay the liberal's heirs (whom the foundations employ). Then, and only then, the liberal's income actually gets taxed for the first time.

Pretty slick system, if you can manage it.
