They also suggest that Kerry's memories of some of his antiwar activities, including the date he left his position on the VVAW national steering committee, were inaccurate. Kerry has stated that he left the group in the summer of 1971, but the files show that he did not quit until the late fall of that year. Heh.
BTW, since when is failure to report a conspiracy to assasinate senators NOT a crime?

Exactly!

Seeing the title of this thread, I just had to stop by and ask when, exactly, his 'activist era' ended...
Was it shortly before his 'gigolo era' began? Did they overlap?
Were there other 'eras' we should know about before we go to the polls in November?
I've heard of Shakespeare's Seven Ages of Man... How many Eras of Kerry do you think we'll find?

NO! Hillary wants '08.

You've got that exactly right!
Those, who didn't live through that era, or were children, have absolutely NO idea how bad it was.

Quoting a "confidential source," the report said Kerry was there and had resigned from the VVAW for personal reasons.Notice he didn't resign because they were talking about killing senators; he resigned to run for office.
"It's just weird," Kerry said, when asked about the discrepancy. He attributed his previous assertions to a faulty memory.
God help us all if this man is elected.

It's quite possible that the FBI was not present at the meeting itself, but watched from outside. I photographed a lot of anti-war rallies in that era, and the FBI was always acoss the street in a car, taking pictures, but not interfering.
This is just in case anyone thinks it's odd that the FBI didn't know about the assassination plot.

Do you all remember something about Al Gore going to a dinner party with some journalist in D.C. and all hell broke loose -- lots of talk about how inappropriate it was?

As a high-profile activist who crossed the country criticizing the Nixon administration's role in the Vietnam War, John F. Kerry was closely monitored by FBI (news - web sites) agents for more than a year, according to intelligence documents reviewed by The Times. And exactly where did the LA Times get these 'intelligence documents?'
Seems to me that either a 'soft landing' is being set up here for Mr Kerry OR some other demoncrat (who might have had access to some FBI files) might be trying to destroy him!!!

Read the actual article. Kerry is the victim, pursued by the evil FBI and Richard Nixon. You're right, I should have read the article. It's just that I can't bring myself to read that rag! It's a RAT paper and it always will be.

It's just weird," Kerry said, when asked about the discrepancy. He attributed his previous assertions to a faulty memory. Ah, the memory thingie again. I hope Kerry keeps claiming incipient senile dementia defense right until voting day, and asserts it when he debates with Bush. I guess since he doesn't remember being there, he doesn't remember why he didn't report it all aeo instante to the authorities. One thing leads to another.
John, the thread you posted to me on, was dumped as a dup, without a link to the prior ones. But I found this one. The search button is a marvelous thing. I even search for legal documents, discussion, and case cits now on the internet, and find lots of good stuff.

I guess since he doesn't remember being there, he doesn't remember why he didn't report it all aeo instante to the authorities. Now that is as good an explanation for him not "remembering" as I've heard. If he did remember, he then couldn't pretend he doesn't remember WHAT they discussed without looking demented.

I am not sure failure to report, if one is not part of the conspiracy, is a crime. I suspect in fact it is not. But I am not a criminal lawyer. I could be wrong. Of course, beyond whether it is a felony, it is wrong, immoral, and if a proposed conspiracy of this type, disqualifies one for high public office, at least in my opinion.

Now that you mention it, yes, I seem to remember something along those lines.
