The CREW was wearing uniforms. The president was not part of the crew. The president is a civilian. That is why I found it inappropriate to dress him in a military outfit. I found it inappropriate to fly him out in an expensive jet. It was taxpayer funded political theater. And that makes it a costume he was wearing. See?
It seems to me that only the liberals got upset about that event. I guess flying Bill Clinton over to France in 1994 to upright American flags that his entourage knocked over for photographic purposes is a little more likable to your thinking?
Could somebody pass me the popcorn?
I don’t figure I’m liberal, or “upset” about the aircraft carrier thing. I agreed with a poster, in another thread, that we shouldn’t be using the military as a backdrop for campaign appearances. That’s all I said. BykerBabe took offense at a tiny little part of what I said and now we’re on about whether the president was in a “costume” or a “uniform”. Which is so far beside the point..
I don’t remember anything with Clinton and flags and France but that was, what, thirteen years ago? Was he wearing an army costume when he did whatever you’re talking about?
