I just read your post on the tenants of " Free Republic"
Jim, you are showing signs of being a Great American Patriot..a Minuteman of cyberspace. Benjamin Franklin would likely be helping you if he were around today, mumbling things like ,"from manual printing press to computer..." This Free Republic site is in the noble American tradition of "pamphleteering." No one should forget that our role is a necessary now as it was when those great patriots created our nation over two Centuries ago.
It was a real breath of fresh inspiration to finally see sane communication on political issues by intelligent beings, beyond political correctness. ( I live in the wilds of the Norheast Kingdom of Vermont, which is full of puling, HIV infested liberals, you can't even screw them? LOL)
