Meanwhile, flipping over to Imus, I find Andrea Mitchell basically endorsing and seconding everything Clarke is claiming. And now she's slamming Ms. Rice for not agreeing to give public testimony to the 9-11 Commission -- "it is so fair and balanced".

Please MSNBC: give us a break.

It's plain as daylight. This guy Clarke is pssed off because President Bush didn't chose him for Homeland Security Czar...

So now he's gambling that the Democrats (party of his heart) will win and then they will owe him this powerful job and we'll be back to the Clintonista mentality with regard to our national INsecurity.

And now she's slamming Ms. Rice for not agreeing to give public testimony to the 9-11 Commission --

Only testimony that would be damaging to the interests of the United States and the war on terrorism would be taken seriously by the press. Testimony that in any way made President Bush look good, or that made Bill Clinton look bad, would be dismissed as "political" or "self-serving," and turned into a story about how "Bush is politicizing the 9-11 commission."

I was also surprised that Bernie or Charles didn't feed Imus a question about Mitchell's comment yesterday that H. Clinton was "interested" in the VP nomination with a view toward Kerry going down and she (HRC) taking the top nomination.
