Condi Smacks Clarke on Fox'N Friends
Fox News Channel
Posted on 03/22/2004 4:12:01 AM PST by ReleaseTheHounds
Condi Rice was just interviewed on Fox'N Friends and she did a slam-dunk on Richard Clarke.
She properly noted that he had been Counter-Terrorism Czar for a number of years in the Clinton Administration and had plenty of opportunity to develop strategies to confront Al Qaeda which he (and that Administration) never pursued.
She acknowledged that Clarke had a number of "ideas" about confronting and combatting terrorism -- many of which the Bush Administration adopted. But they were a set of "ideas" not a comprehensive strategy which President Bush was looking for.
Typical Condi performance: flawless.

Also, I just remembered.
In the book The New Jackals by Simon Reeve, it was noted that Iraq went on its highest state of alert with its military two weeks prior to 9/11 and Saddam sent his family into his most secure bunker where Saddam himself went and didn't emerge until mid-October.

Got the stream up. Funny, you have to stream C-SPAN and listen to Laura over the air, for me it's reversed. ;-)
I haven't read this thread, but I saw her on both Fox and CNN. Fox was clearly on Condi's side, Soledad was fair and respectful, but skeptical.

Let's hope she makes the rounds on other television news programs as well, otherwise the media will write it off as "speaking to her base, Fox News' conservative viewership".

I didn't expect such a reaction from him. It was surprising to me as well. Condi was also great. She was barely able to contain her anger.

You accidentally addressd your post to me; maybe you want to re-target it.
So, do you know what Condi Rice's position is on killing children for being inconvenient or imperfect?
Isn't it hard to understand the mindset of someone who wouln't see that as a crucial measure of a Presidential candidate's moral compass? What sort of moral skeletons must be in THAT closet?

Note to Clarke:
Go see the doctor to have that removed!
It may be tough sitting down for a while, so be patient...

There was no accident. Take that crap to another thread were it might be relevant. This one is a discussion of RAT attempts to undermine Bush's foreign policy not your (probably incorrect) interpretation of a different matter altogether.

I always find it difficult to look in the eyes of a beautiful woman and understand what she is saying. And Laura is a prime example. Have to listen on radio.

Oh, how disappointing.
What "interpretation"? I asked if the poster (and now you) knew Rice's position on killing children for being inconvenient or imperfect. Did you spurt the same invective at the person who exclaimed "Rice for President"? I didn't see that. Could you point me to the post?
If you have nothing to contribute, maybe you should just consider passing it by. Though I must say, it is hard for me to understand someone with a clear vision and conscience dismissing this issue, if we're considering a Presidential candidacy.

Correction: we did not reclaim the reigns of power until January 20, 2001.
We did not have anything in 2000.

Any potential Rice presidency is not the issue here. Any attacks on Rice will not pass without my notice since I consider them to be directed at the President. Just as an attack on Cheney, Rumsfeld or Wolfowitz would be.
Rice does a marvelous job standing up to the RATmedia and the lying swine opposing the National Interest. She is a great American and those attacking her for whatever misguided reason will not get a pass from me. When you join that pack you'll hear from me.

Take a deep, slow breath.
If you honestly, sincerely think that MERELY ASKING what her position is on killing children for being inconvenient or imprfect (which is ALL I did) is an "attack," you are having a SEVERE perspective problem.

You guys take it to the back room, or start your own thread. Nobody appreciates hijacked threads.

What are you talking to me about?
If you think the issue of Rice as a Presidential candidate shouldn't have been brought up here, did you address your complaint to the original poster? If not, you can't have me in mind for simply asking a valid question or responding to a silly attack; so why did you address me? THE ONLY THING I DID was ask if the Rice-promoter knew her position, and then respond to an unreasonable attack.
So you have a problem with the first poster, or the last. Not with me.
If it wasn't a simple mistake, you might just make this note: don't waste your time asking me not to respond rationally to irrational attacks. Had you not, that would have been one less posting from me on this topic.

Condi on the counter-attack. I love it. Looks like our side is getting its first response team in place quickly!
