A question about Andreas Strassmeier
Posted on 03/21/2004 9:25:37 PM PST by UnChained
I read somewhere than John Doe #2 candidate Andreas Strassmeier traveled to Europe at one point to broker a deal for the sale of some airliners.
This tidbit was being used to build a case that Strassmeir was more than he appeared to be at Elohim City.
Does anyone know where this is documented?

You might try the John Doe II Times.
That's a detailed and highly interesting series of reports compiled by now-deceased OKC lawyer JD Cash.

Google for Jayna Davis or wait a few weeks until her book comes out...she did the yeoman work about John Doe #2...Also check out the book And Others Unknown ( or something similar to it). It was written by McVeigh's lawyer and it was not only an interesting read but shed light on what information got shut out of the trial including numerous trips to the Phillipines to an area loaded with muslim extremists

Strassmeier was not John Doe #2, but he did have a role that has been buried by the official investigation. He may well have been undercover. But he was accused by other informants of doing surveillance on the federal building in OKC and several others prior to the bombing, and Strassmeier's attorney was on McVeigh's speed dial. So what his role actually was is unknown, whether he was part of the plot or undercover or both is not clear.

Strassmeier was a German intelligence operative hurriedly escorted out of the United States after the bombing took place. Very strange.

This is mentioned in "The Secret Life of Bill Clinton" by Ambrose Evans-Pritchard, which has excellent reporting about OKCB, inlcuding an interview with Strassmeir from Germany.
