I mean is CBS becoming the antiAmerica/antiBush channel or is it me. I will never turn to that channel again. Here we have Clark on putting all the blame on BUSH and not one critizism for the administration he worked for for 8 yrs..

bingo, altho Woolsey told Lindsay to stick it, not Clinton. He didn't know Lindsay's "suggestion" was a direct imperative from Clinton for the FOB except only in retrospect.

These guys are such wizards as to what should have been done by another administration. If Clintoon and gang where so smart; we find out:
They could have picked up #2 guy Al Zwaheri in 1997, in such hard to reach places as Los Angeles, Boston and New York.
He was here in 1997 on fund raising visits. Then again Clinton had more pressing problems, occupying his time and his hormomes. Getting BJ's in the Oval Office from Monica Lewinsky.

Download and use Opera for your web browser. You won't get pop ups.

Clark is bashing Bush because he's hoping for a spot in Kerry's administration. Yawn. No one believes this idiot.

According to Clarke during the Stahl interview, he's not shilling for Kerry. (and he even said it with a straight face)

Bush is paying the price for allowing these Clinton holdovers to remain in his administration.
I have deep suspicions about George Tenant too.

Jim Woolsey was Clinton's CIA director for 2 years and I heard him say that for the first six months of clinton admin, Woolsey was LEFT SITTING IN THE RECEPTION AREA FOR HOURS, then he would be told the President couldn't see him. He said after 6 months of this, he quit going. I hope that Woolsey testifies!!!!

You're right, CBS isn't fair and balanced! They mostly give to the
NRCC. ($5,200 in 2000 - Fox News Corp only gave $2,275 to the NRCC that year.)

Clarke is just a Xlinton operative bankrolled by George Soros.
Hell, if it worked for the Democrats....Any mention of Scaife was supposed to neutralize anything that was said by a conservative. Now I declare all Dems to be nothing more than Soros operatives.
I thought campaign finance deform was supposed to put an end to this kind of thing.

Aren't YOU the funny woman tonight. No way. Stahl was all wide-eyed and astounded. Incredulous, even.
One good thing, while I have your attention and since maybe you didn't hear it, tonight on Rita Cosby' show on Fox, their military expert, McInnis or something like that, said that Dollars for Oil is going to break BIG in the next week or so.

From your keyboard to God's own eyes! I pray it breaks hard!
This Clarke guy is bad, but even worse are the media hacks doing the grunt work for Kerry.

I will never watch CBS. Their sponsors need to know this. Andy Rooney and Dan Rather belong in the old folks home!!! I can not believe CBS keeps them on. Who watches?

This was an interesting interview. Actually the best thread on Clarke was done by Jim Robinson and can be found here:
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1101626/postsI thought Stahl did a credible job. She asked several on target questions and highlighted Clarkes hostility and rage. After all, she can not express any sentiments not really shared with her compatriots.
While everyone is looking as to Why Clarke would say what he has said, one can also look at his goals. He achieves instant notoriety, he gets revenge and he maintains and extends his power over this and other administrations. Looking at where he is going is very helpful and especially so when he has been working for the government for thirty years.
He surely wants revenge for being demoted from cabinet rank by the Bushies. He also wants to make some dollars on his book by garnering attention for it. A hidden issue for him, and many people who have worked in a total institution for a long time, is his resentment at the government. Many people on retiring have a paradoxical response where they are very critical and hostile of the institution they were devoted to for so many years. It is easy to understand if you look at the following adagewhen you lean you get mean. Every mother has experienced the inordinate hostility of her children at timesthey truly love her but also depend on her; hence, they treat her worst than a stranger. It seems almost innate in human nature that when you rely too much on a person or institution you come to resent that person or institution and, especially so, if you lose that person or institutions. May seem arcane and bizarre, but I feel it is no accident this occurs at the end of his career. Also, his mellifluous voice, grave demeanor and utterly upper-class verbal affectations surely make him right at home as a Harvard don. In addition to the above, he probably has always believed he is soooo much smarter than his boss; he should have been the boss. Someone should have tapped him on the shoulder and said, Mr. President. Oh well, we all have our fantasies.

The UN "scheme" to help out Iraq during the embargo by skimming money off the sales of oil and padding their own pockets and kicking back to Saddam.
Should it be "oil for dollars?"
