Remember when the GOP had Toricelli on the ropes in N.J.? Even though he was the nominee, they yanked him out of the race and substituted the one standard-bearer who stood a chance against the GOP. And it worked, because the state voters truly are that dumb. If we succeed in clearly and undeniably destroying Kerry early enough, so that the RATS know they are doomed, they will frantically cast about for an alternative. The Clinton 'White Knight' ploy is NOT unlikely. If she thinks she can deliver a knock-out in turn to GWB, she will do it. And let's face it, GWB has made so many clumsy political missteps that he would be vulnerable to the Clinton's political war machine.
GWB's missteps were especially sad because he thought he was implementing 'triangulating'...he thought these were pure political genius... Instead the emporer was wearing no clothes.
Who is his chief advisor? Wile E. Coyote?

Agree with the first statement. hillary will pounce if she thinks she has any chance at all.
Disagree with the second. GWB has done something to offend almost every one of his supporters, but none of it can be called "clumsy political missteps". He does what he thinks is right, or at least pragmatic. Having a record you can defend is not clumsy, nor is it a political misstep. As Kerry is about to find out, looking like you act only in ways that you think are "politically savvy" is the clumsiest political misstep of all.
