You'd be surprised, the UWS is becoming more conservative. More young orthodox jews there now... and generally it's more receptive to a tough National Security message. Unfortunately all of Manhattan is still very liberal though.

Now a "wardrobe malfunction" here would be rather pleasant. Especially in the privacy of my dreams!

I would still say that the UWS and greenwich village are tied for the most liberal places, at the very least, on the east coast.

"most liberal places, at the very least, on the east coast."
The whole Northeast is really sickeningly liberal. It's really outrageous considering the 9/11 attacks took place right here. I'm already homesick for the south.

Just to put this in perspective for people from other parts of the country:
The northeast is liberal. New York is liberal for the North East (although not quite as bad as taxachussets) New York City is liberal for New York. Manhattan in liberal compared to the rest of NYC. The UWS (upper west side) is liberal for Manhattan. It is a sickening place.

Tell it! The Victoria's Secret in the West Eighties had to have an armed guard outside when it first opened. The community was not at all pleased.
To: blanknoone
Other areas are more liberal than the Upper West Side.
