You'd be surprised, the UWS is becoming more conservative. More young orthodox jews there now... and generally it's more receptive to a tough National Security message. Unfortunately all of Manhattan is still very liberal though.

I would still say that the UWS and greenwich village are tied for the most liberal places, at the very least, on the east coast.

Tell it! The Victoria's Secret in the West Eighties had to have an armed guard outside when it first opened. The community was not at all pleased.
