President George W. Bush and first lady Laura Bush leave the East Room after speaking about Iraq at the White House in Washington, March 19, 2004. President Bush told officials from 83 nations that differences over the Iraq war are in the past, that deeper resolve is needed in the broader war on terrorism and that they must resist making concessions to al Qaeda. Later in the day President Bush and the First Lady visited the wounded soldiers at Walter Reed Hospital in Washington D.C. ................ Enjoy your visit to Sanity Island

That's awfully nice of you...I just put more minutes on his phone card...Germany is eating them up...I've got his room number so I can call him with 1010-297 for only 3 cents a min+39cent connection fee......maybe they'll have internet connections where he'll stay at WR.

If he is gonna be an outpatient while at Walter Reed, I should be able to take him out and get him into some trouble :-)

I read that too, and it makes totally sense, but the left-wingers in their blind hatred for the president can't see this

They do, they have a special room for computers and every room has a phone outlet and I have two dial-up accounts, he can use one of mine, it's local to Walter Reed, I'll also loan him my Pick-up Truck

That'd be fun!
I use Minor's bases (www.soupbase.com) for many of my crockpot recipes. Instant broth. In fact, I used some low-sodium chicken base and some roasted maripoix concentrate in a cream of broccoli soup I made tonight. Nuked that one though. ;)

Jake is still in intensive care but doing good and gaining weight...when he is released he will not be able to leave his house or have children as visitors for 2 months....to keep him away from any type of infection or virus.

Meant to also ask: How did you think simply asking would cause harm? (This isn't a "don't ask, don't tell" zone. LOL) Good grief!! Just asking questions brings out the 'Viking Kitties' and since I've only been here a couple of years, I'm hesitant to ask questions. Duh..!!
What was your point? I asked a very respectable question and got slammed.

There are a number of people here who will verify that I don't slam people. Now, I have no idea why you're so defensive or what your problem is. You asked questions and I answered them.

They'd just criticize him for "disrupting" it if he went . . .

So no surgery? If they're talking release, that's wonderful!
I sure hope grandma can visit . . . his mom would go nuts if she was housebound for two months! :-) It's a good idea; I had a friend who took her three DAY old baby shopping at a huge mall just a WEEK BEFORE CHRISTMAS! I thought she was nuts--all those germs . . .
I'm so glad he's doing OK! How are his parents? Majorly stressed, I bet.
Gosh, why doesn't anything EXCITING ever happen in your family? Don't you get bored??? LOL!

Since we were talking about music earlier, are you "Walkin' on Sunshine"?
My husb. couldn't believe Kerry was that much of a jerk to his Secret Service guys.
Another comment . . . the reporter said Kerry made the comment that "many world leaders have given me their support." But now he won't say WHICH world leaders. Now I heard that the reporter listened to his tape again, and what Kerry had actually said was, "Many leaders have given me their support" (or something like that, point being, he didn't even SAY "WORLD" leaders)
So, I ask, why didn't Kerry clear up what he actually said in the first place? Instead, he's defending something he didn't even say. "When first we practice to deceive, oh what a tangled web we weave"
Have you seen the new Bush ads, where they show him saying, "I voted FOR the $87 billion before I voted against it!"????
I've said, they've given Pres. Bush all the ammunition he needs!

They are not talking release yet, just informed them of some of the things they should do when he gets home...they both took a baby CPR class, although, Jen(mother) is a 3rd year med student.

mystery, tell Mike that Mr Ohio and I are both relieved and sorry at the same time.
He is SUCH a leader and good soldier for wanting to go back, but God is Sovereign, and this is obviously what HE wanted for Mike.
We will keep praying for total recovery, and peace for you both.
You will never know how much you both mean to our family. Never.

I'd love to exchange recipes! Also tips for making your family think you've been doing housework all day . . .
I also need to get the internet hooked up by my TV, so my family doesn't know how much time I spend here . . . is there a 12-step group for Dosers? :-) (NOT making fun at all of 12-step groups . . . just that I AM showing signs of dependency) but it's a healthy addiction, right?
