"His mother just called me, she was able to call Germany and talk to his nurse. He is just coming out of the anesthesia from his surgery. The surse told her to call back in a few hours after the anesthesia wears off and she will let her talk to him.
One very happy Mom will be calling Germany shortly!
He will be transported to the Naval Hospital here in the US but does not know which one. After he is in the US Mom will be flying to be with him. "
What terrific news!! Thank you so much for updating us so quickly. It is a joy to hear good news! We are grateful you notified us and that we had the opportunity to place him in our prayers. Please continue to let us know what is happening with him!

Bless your heart, KC! It's so good to see you! Thank you for dropping by with your very kind and far too generous words. All glory to God. I join you in gratitude for the group of Prayer Warriors who have vowed to hold vigil for our troops.
I hope things are going well with you! God bless you.

Prayers continue for this young marine and for PFC Maupin.

My prayers are offered tonight for all our troops who are in harm's way and for the families who await their return. I think of all of the young children who are without a parent tonight, so that my children can be free.
I just want the troops and families to know that although I have no idea of the anxiety of a loved one being away at war,my heart is intertwined with yours -I await the news of our troops homecoming with great anticipation.

I was friends with Elmer Krause when we were teenagers. Havn't heard from him in probably 25 years. I hope he comes through this alright.

Hi, Prayer Warrior!
The son of a woman who goes to my church needs special prayers. Michael has just been deployed to Iraq, and he needs prayers for his peace of mind.
I'm recruiting anyone who can storm Heaven to help this young man find his way in the whirlwind.
Thanks!
Patty
Holy Spirit, I most earnestly entreat Thee to fill this young man's mind and heart with understanding and peace to heal the ravages of his past and to light the way into his future. Most humbly, I beg for Thy help for this dear and fragile soul. In Jesus' precious name I pray.

ADDITION TO THE LIST AND REQUEST FOR PRAYERS:
Our own patriciaruth has placed a prayer request and a prayer before us for a precious young man who has been deployed to Iraq and is need of a little bit of a spiritual boost.
Thank you for leading us in prayer, patriciaruth.

Joining you in prayer for Michael.
Some words that may help from a commanding officer with experience whose 81st BCT Soldiers just arrived in Iraq:
The soldiers hard work and extensive preparation ensured the safety of all the troops during the convoy. Said Brig. Gen. Oscar Hilman, 81st BCT brigade commander, Training turns the natural apprehension soldiers have into strength and confidence once the mission begins. The glow in our soldiers eyes is not fear it tells our adversaries, Dont screw with us! Link

"Gen.Kimmitt just almost fainted in the press briefing..He is clearly ill or exhausted.I pray for his well being.May God watch over the ones with the burden of leadership."
Thank you for reporting this info on General Kimmitt, MEG33.
Beloved Heavenly Father,
We observe with great concern that General Kimmett appears to be either ill or exhausted. We ask that you will hold him up. Mobilize his immune system and help him to be relieved and healed of the stresses on his body which seem to be occurring. Reach into his mind and heart and comfort and heal any trauma he may have. Help him carry the burdens which are his to carry.
We ask that you will hold his hand and guide him in this hour and in the days to come. We are grateful for his service and we pray together for his upliftment. Guide him in all his decisions. Guide him in how to find the time and space to take care of himself so that he may have the balanced and stable physical vessel which you need him to have in the outworking of present events. We have no concerns about his fitness for the office of leadership to which you have called him. We admire him greatly and are so very proud of him. We simply have concerns that he be able to maintain his health during this time, for he is so needed in this hour of our nation's history. Bless him abundantly, Father, and bless his family and loved ones.
While we pray this for General Kimmitt, we also pray it for all of our general officers and all our military leaders for whom it may apply. Guide, guard, direct, and protect all of them. Thank you for sending such excellent leaders to us in this seriously challenging time. Let this be done only and according to thy blessed Will.
Amen
