Textbooks for Jesus on the other hand are absolutely verboten. Its a violation of religion and state, y'know whereas Islamonazi propaganda is politically correct and free speech. Islam is also a religion good secularist liberals can support since it hates the West with the same passion they do.

"Students in the Middle East are taught to distrust Christians and Jews and are then taught to apply those lessons to opposing the free and democratic—and non-Muslim—nations of the world."

So let's hear some liberal (or any other airhead) tell us again just why we should let any moslems from the middle east into our country.

I would highly recommend Diane Ravitch's "The Language Police". That book is about domestic pressures on textbook publishers to design a sufficiently diluted book to ensure purchase by as many states as possible, esp TX and CA.

We don't need Islamists to distort or promote historical interpretation; Ravitch shows that forces form the extreme left and extreme right of the political spectrum largely determine textbook content.

What is unfortunate is that such groups wield influence far out of proprtion to their actual membership. What is fortunate is that it often takes only a handful of sufficiently assed-up parents to exact change.
