Could Howard Stern Topple Bush? I'd like to answer this question with another question?
Which of these two outcomes does Stern prefer?
The world that
Kerry's Coalition of the Unwilling
made for the Vietnamese children
BBC photo of DaNang school children at ceremony commemorating the fall of Saigon
The world that
Bush's Coalition of the Willing
made for the Iraqi children.

Yeah, and that's the high end of his audience.

"Those who listen however, are the deviants and misfits of society." Exactly. Kerry voters.

"his outrage has boiled to a head with news that Congress is currently considering a radical increase in the amount of FCC indecency fines (from a maximum of $27,500 to $500,000). It's over," Stern said on the air. "When the Senate passes that bill, it's over. The show is over" What will this pompous ass do should his man Kerry vote with the majority?

I guess foul-Howie is about as powerful as Babs - I don't see either of them putting their names on any slates.

Do you think anyone who listens to Howard Stern regularly would vote for Bush? I can't stand Stern. I thought he was a filth bag 15 years ago. He still is.

Could Howard Stern Topple Bush? Excerpt:"It's over," Stern said on the air. "When the Senate passes that bill, it's over. The show is over. . . We can't do a radio program that's cutting edge . . . if the government keeps second-guessing everything we do."
Stern also insists that Clear Channel dropped him last month not because of indecency on his show but because of some of his Bush criticism earlier in the year. "There's a real good argument to be made that I stopped backing Bush and that's when I got kicked off Clear Channel," he told his listeners earlier this month.
"He is self-aggrandizing if he thinks he's being singled out here," Jeffrey Chester, executive director of the Center for Digital Democracy, a Washington-based advocacy organization told the Globe. "Congress is engaging in this kind of witch hunt generally. I don't think they're singling out Stern for his alleged critical comments against the Bush administration."
Please let me know if you want ON or OFF my General Interest ping list!. . .don't be shy.

Who's Howard Stern?
To: Williams
I agree. His show took a huge dive when he split up with his wife. Half of the fun of the show was the fact that Howard could have had all these girls but was faithful to his wife. Certainly that was the theme he hit over and over again in his bestselling books and movie, Private Parts. Notice that Howard hasn't had a book or movie out in a long time? He's not what he used to be. Heck, you can't even say F*** Jackie anymore cuz Jackie's no longer on!

Bush never did anything to Stern, this is totally unprovoked.Bingo!! I listen to Stern every morning coming home from the third shift. (45 yo Bush voter, here.) He's puffing up the issue- creating a conspiracy against himself- to insure the success of his upcoming move to satellite radio.

His listeners will be too busy laying on their couch wearing their wife beaters, drinking cheap beer and musing to themselves about how cool two lesbians "doing it" are!

Stern - and heck, Rush Limbaugh, too, for that matter - loses listeners using air time to talk about his own problems. Reminds me of televangelists like Dr. Gene Scott, or Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker who've gotten in trouble with the law and then used their programs to rant to their fans. Stern will wind up with a much smaller following because of this - the same batch of Bush-haters who'll tune in to Al Franken's liberal talk radio show.

Actually, it is counterproductive for him to promote the Dems and Kerry into office because unlike us, they don't believe in the 1st amendment freedom of speech. He would know this if he spent a few minutes listening to Kerry lament over the Republican "dogs" all over the internet!
