AL-JAZEERA REPORTS:“the American army will use sound bombs to spread the fright in Iraqis’ hearts”

After the hotel bombing aired in Baghdad Wednesday, I contacted A.Y.S., our Iraqi dentist blogger friend, who almost daily provides stories and pictures from inside Iraq on his blog site, Iraq At A Glance.

A.Y.S reports from Baghdad Thursday, March 18, 2004:

Wake up... “ No it wasn’t a bomb.. it was a missile fired from a plane”
“ I don’t believe the explosion was due to a car bomb.. I heard many planes were flying around the area at that time”
“ NO.. it’s not a bomb, why the crater is inside the hotel ? those Americans bombed the hotel”..

"AHHHH.. I grew tired from all of these bullshits," A.Y.S.says, "the people have started to blame the Americans for anything happened and will happen, tired from explaining the terrorists’ plans to change our minds and overturn our feelings towards the coalition, tired from trying to make them analyze anything happens before giving a judgment.. and when I ask them about what will the Americans gain from bombing; they don’t know how to answer, they just say that the Americans want to make us afraid and worried.. Nonsense.."

"I’m afraid the terrorists will succeed in making the people hate the coalition leading to much more troubles… Above all of that, I read a news on Al-Jazeera channel saying: “ the American army will use sound bombs to spread the fright in Iraqis’ hearts” what a poisonous words they use.."

"The coalition must defend themselves and they must increase the TV programs which explain what the coalition did and are doing and giving proofs about that.."

"Many people changed their minds about the war on terror, the press, the broadcasting and the TV must work harder to make them understand the terrorists’ thoughts."

"The terrorists succeeded in changing a government.. yes .. Spain.. the first country who surrender..and they’ll withdraw their troops soon.. what a shame..just wait you Spanish for few years and you’ll see what will happen if the terrorists get stronger…huh.. you think you’ll be out of the woods…...NO..you’ll regret. I’m afraid that another attack in another country will make them do the same as Spain, handling the world to the vileness of those terrorists.. just imagine that. Now, let’s talk about the United States, what will happen if Mr.Kerry wins? Ha??"

In my email to A.Y.S, I had written that as the Live shots of the aftermath of the hotel bombing in Baghdad with fires burning and bodies being carried out of the rubble, scenes from the afermath were being juxtaposed across the screen (FOX) serving as a backdrop for Sen. John F. Kerry's live feed ,once again, attacking Bush and this administration's policy failures in Iraq.

A.Y.S's response to me ( prior to his transcribed report above):
" Frankly most of Iraqis say that Kerry will win, they're saying that with sadness, you know, what'll happen if Kerry wins ? of course the terrorists will destroy the world..
I hope that won't happen.."

take care,
AYS

A search on sound bombs brings up this article. From the way it reads, you can gather that a sound bomb is not a real bomb, but sounds like one and therefore it frightens people into thinking they are being attacked.

CNN, Democrats, France, Russia and China are as responsible as the Terrorists, and for all intents and purposes are the Terrorists.

"CNN, Democrats, France, Russia and China are as responsible as the Terrorists, and for all intents and purposes are the Terrorists."

Your list is missing hundreds and hundreds of other persons, organizations and nations that are at fault. I do get your point though.

At the end of the day, in my view, it is the leftist Western media that bears the most blame. The Western media throughout Europe and in North America have put their socialist agenda above all else.

Nothing will really change until the current media throughout the West moves away from the far left. In capitalist societies, business interests whom care about this issue should pool their funds and buy all the major media networks. Once owned by responsible human beings, the network news divisions can be purged across the board of all anti-Capitalist, anti-Western influence. Once this is done, news broadcasts can be by the number straight news blocks, news analysis would be clearly labeled as such, and conservative voices and perspective would be given no less representation than left of center views.
