The Republicans' support for the moratorium off of Florida's Gulf Coast is particularly hard for me to understand. Governor Bush is coming to the end of his tenure

The whole "issue" of offshore drilling drives me nuts-- there's less pollution when you drill, and relieve pressure and leaks from oil fields, than when you don't.

It's just sitting there for the taking-- all we need is to turn industry loose and start pumping the stuff.

And – build some new refineries and update the ones we have now. We are already producing at close to 100% of capacity. More crude won’t help much without additional refining capacity.
