I'm pondering the pros and cons of getting a scooter for short-run errands I browsed the classifieds for scooters recently, too. Houston is no place to drive one for daily use, but for the post office or running out for beer and cigarettes, I would use one.
I wouldn't ride it the 5 miles over to Eaker's house, though. He would laugh too hard and hurt himself.

He would laugh too hard and hurt himself.I used to ride big bikes-- 74's-- on the street, but the last time I did so, after years of being away from them, so damn many "citizens" in their 4-wheelers kept trying to kill me that I went back to cars and trucks. But gas prices have me "thinkin' it over" once again-- my life, or serious injury, versus money... hummm!
