"Liberals really aren't bad people. It's just that they know so much that simply ISN'T true!!"

Actually, I believe there are two types of Lib'rals, the Evil and the Ignorant. The Ignorant Lib'rals are those "useful idiots" who dutifully vote for DemonRATS whenever and wherever they run fer higher office on account of the promises those running make to transfer the wealth from the Productive Members of Society to the Non-productive Members. Of course, many of these folks are willfully-ignorant, but they are ignorant of reality nonetheless. Now, the Evil Lib'rals are those Effete Elitists who prey on the Ignorant's fears and insecurities to set themselves up as a separate ruling class. These Evil Lib'rals know that Socialism is a society-killer and has failed each and every time it has been tried. They know that centralizing Power in a single federal bureaucracy is bad for the Country, but they persist in promoting it simply because it benefits them personally.

The way the Right defeats Lib'ralism is to reach out to the Ignorant and make them aware of the Truth about capitalism, free markets, personal responsibility, and individual liberty. Once we have converted enough of the Ignorant, the Evil will lose their grip on Power.

"The 1976 and 1981 teams are generally considered Virginia's most famous, the former for winning the Cavaliers' only ACC championship and the latter for making UVa's first trip to the Final Four. Ex-head coach Terry Holland now says the '84 team deserves to be mentioned in the same breath."

"Text of Condi Rice's Opening Remarks in Front of Terror Commission"

"The terrorist threat to our Nation did not emerge on September 11th, 2001. Long before that day, radical, freedom-hating terrorists declared war on America and on the civilized world. The attack on the Marine barracks in Lebanon in 1983, the hijacking of the Achille Lauro in 1985, the rise of al-Qaida and the bombing of the World Trade Center in 1993, the attacks on American installations in Saudi Arabia in 1995 and 1996, the East Africa embassy bombings of 1998, the attack on the USS Cole in 2000, these and other atrocities were part of a sustained, systematic campaign to spread devastation and chaos and to murder innocent Americans. The terrorists were at war with us, but we were not yet at war with them. For more than 20 years, the terrorist threat gathered, and America's response across several administrations of both parties was insufficient. Historically, democratic societies have been slow to react to gathering threats, tending instead to wait to confront threats until they are too dangerous to ignore or until it is too late. Despite the sinking of the Lusitania in 1915 and continued German harassment of American shipping, the United States did not enter the First World War until two years later. Despite Nazi Germany's repeated violations of the Versailles Treaty and its string of provocations throughout the mid-1930s, the Western democracies did not take action until 1939. The U.S. Government did not act against the growing threat from Imperial Japan until the threat became all too evident at Pearl Harbor. And, tragically, for all the language of war spoken before September 11th, this country simply was not on a war footing. Since then, America has been at war. And under President Bush's leadership, we will remain at war until the terrorist threat to our Nation is ended. The world has changed so much that it is hard to remember what our lives were like before that day. But I do want to describe the actions this Administration was taking to fight terrorism before September 11th, 2001."

Hey Mud!!

The quote that I use as my "signature" is a quote by President Reagan. But, the older I get, the more I think that there is only one type of liberal. EVIL!!

I agree with Michael Savage, that liberals have a "mental" disorder. It is just contrary to human nature to expect/and or demand, cradle to grave security from Government.

I've been fighting these people since I was in Kindergarten (TRUE!!) And I will continue until my last breath, which, hopefully, will NOT be any time soon!! :-)

Let's Roll !!

We always hear "the rules" from the female side. Now here are the rules from the 'male' side. These are OUR rules!

*Please note...these are all numbered in the order
that is most important to us.

Memorize #1 first (find #1):
1. Learn to work the toilet seat. You're a big girl. If it's up, put it down. You can handle it. We need it up, you need it down. When have you heard us complaining about you leaving it down?

1. Sunday = Sports. It's like the full moon. Let it be.

1. Crying is blackmail.

1. Ask for what you want. Let us be clear on this one... Subtle hints do not work! Strong hints do not work! Obvious hints do not work! Just say it!!!

1. Yes and No are perfectly acceptable answers to almost every question.

1. Come to us with a problem only if you want help solving it. That's what we do. Sympathy is what your girlfriends are for.

1. A headache that lasts for 17 months is a problem. See a doctor.

1. Anything we said 6 months ago is inadmissible in an argument. In fact, all comments become null and void after 7 days.

1. If you won't dress like the Victoria's Secret girls, don't expect us to act like soap opera guys.

1. If you think you're fat, you probably are. Don't ask us!!!!!!!

1. If something we said can be interpreted two ways, and one of the ways makes you sad or angry, we meant the other one.

1. You can either ask us to do something, or tell us how you want it done. Not both. If you already know best how to do it, just do it yourself.

1. Whenever possible, please say whatever you have to say during commercials.

1. Christopher Columbus did not need directions, and neither do we.

1. ALL men see in only 16 colors, like Windows default settings. Peach, for example, is a fruit, not a color. Pumpkin is also a fruit. We have no idea what mauve is.

1. If it itches, it will be scratched. We can, and will, do that.

1. If we ask what is wrong and you say "nothing," we will act like nothing's wrong. We know you are lying, but it is just not worth the hassle.

1. If you ask a question you don't want an answer to, expect an answer you don't want to hear.

1. Don't ask us what we're thinking about unless you are prepared to discuss such topics as baseball, the shotgun formation, or monster trucks.

1. You have enough clothes.

1. You have too many shoes.

1. I am in shape. ROUND is a shape.

The Gipper is a kind-hearted gentleman and I love the man. Still, he was too kind in describing some of his adversaries. Sure, most all of the Lib'rals we see on TeeVee are "EVIL", but we must give many of those who vote fer Lib'rals the benefit of the doubt and consider them "IGNORANT". Otherwise, there would be no incentive to try and change their way of thinking.

From the Black thread archives...

To: Common Tator (in bold)
From: MUD

"I can't imagine such political ignorance."

I reckon I oughtta feel mighty honored that such an omniscient ol' veteran as yerself sees fit to spend so many paragraphs tutoring such an Ignoramus as myself, hunh? Still, I believe your impassioned argument for triangulation is a recipe for the continued deterioration of our individual rights and the future success of America as a whole.

"Mudboy Slim thinks about only in terms of what pleases him. The name of the game is to get enough support from the 2/3 of the population that does not and never will support your position."

Actually, I'm thinking about what is best for the Country, and that is not to continue our unceasing slide towards Socialism as we make excuses as to why a collectivist future is inevitable. You can claim that "2/3rds of the population does not and never will" support the devolution of Power from the Federal Bureaucracy back to the States, Localities, Neighborhoods, Families, and Individuals, and I will admit we've got a lot of educating to do. However, you seem to cynically discount the fact that Centralized Decision-making has been demonstrated to be a failure whenever and wherever it has been tried. Sure, the Left controls most of the Mass Medyuh, the Education System, Hollyweird, the lion's share of the non-profits and philanthropic foundations, and of course the huge Federal Leviathan, but we've got the Truth on OUR side and that still matters. Increasingly, we've seen the impact of alternative sources of media (talk radio, some periodicals, and the Internet) have in getting this Truth out to the masses. We need to build upon this, not throw in the towel and aggressively implement our adversaries' agenda until we somehow get 60 GOP Senators!!

"If Bush were to fight Daschle, guess what happens in the fall elections? Such a fight causes the middle to say the hell with both sides. When the middle see both the Democrats and Republicans as bickering fools, who wins?"

Who says we need to be "bickering fools"? What we need to do is pick issues that we can win on and differentiate ourselves from the RATS, then debate the issues shamelessly and tirelessly. Allowing a percentage of our Social Security to be invested--at our option--in Personal Retirement Accounts is one such issue. Medical Savings Accounts are another such issue. School Vouchers are another issue on which we can gain voter share. Each empowers the Individual over the Collectivist Bureaucracy. For those who favor the supposed security of the Federalized option, they should be insured that they can keep with the same system they now use. This is the way to advance the Right's Agenda AND gain Voter Share; instead of fighting over who can be the most "compassionate" in spreading around Government Largesse.

"The only victories that the right enjoys is when the public sees them as the party trying to get along and the Democrats as those wanting to make trouble."

Sir, with all due respect, this is absolute moolarkey!! Dubyuh's daddy attempted this strategy in '92 and we got Clinton. Then, in '94, the GOPers used the "Contract with America" to differentiate ourselves from the RATS and we won a huge victory. After we chickened out in the Government shutdown and buckled, we nominated the "Tax Collector for the Welfare State," Bobdole who is the quintessential go-along-to-get-along candidate and we got whupped by a demonstrably-corrupt Billzabubba who was ripe for the pickin'!! The GOP gets our heads handed to us when we try to be DemonRats II.

"When the Democrats attack the Republicans and the Republicans fight back, the media helps the Democrats."

So it has always been, but increasingly the Sheeple have come to understand this bias and account for it.

"When the Democrats attack and the Republicans don't fight back, the media first comes down on the side of the Democrats. Then they see the middle is rooting for the underdog. So they take on the Democrats. It seems that even very stupid people could figure out the game is stacked against them."

Since you've already pointed out my "ignorance", I must assume this "very stupid" comment is addressed to me as well...but I have always known the game is stacked against us. The National Media needs National Issues to be addressed by an ever-expanding National Government. State, Local, and Individual Solutions to problems do not Expanding Ratings Shares make!! But to claim that the Media and the Sheeple are "rooting for an underdog" when the Left is rolling over Right is ridiculous...when the Right shows no spine, the jackals smell blood and pour on the vitriol all the heavier.

"The only time this nation has moved from the right to the left or vice versa is when one party controls 60 votes in the senate, a majority in the house and the presidency. When that is the situation the nation is moved one way or the other. The only game worth playing is trying to get to that position."

So, the right should continue growing the Federal Government as desired by the RATS for as long as it takes to get 60 GOP Senators?! Sorry, sir, but that could take forever if the voters perceive the GOP to be weak step-sisters to the RATS. I do think we can gain a 60-seat majority because I believe the ever-expanding Federal Leviathan has become increasingly-indefensible, but we will only be successful if we show the voters how the right would accomplish scaling Collectivism back and how it will benefit--and empower--them!!

"Nixon gave a little to the left hoping for approval. He never got it."

Actually, Nixon gave quite a lot to the Left (wage/price controls, the EPA, etc.) and the Left sensed weakness and pounced. I fear Dubyuh could be walking into the same trap.

"Mudboy demands that Bush squander this chance by fighting over small items in the near term. But the long scheme to win the senate by 60 working votes is all that really matters. Mudboy wants Bush to do what Reagan did which is just go for limiting government growth. Reagan makes Mudboy happy."

Elsewhere, you've already pointed out that Reagan failed in limiting government growth, but I was happy with Reagan's ability to win the Cold War over the Evil Empire of Collectivists. Since that battle has been fought and won, I believe the next battle to undertake is against the Evil Left in our own Country, and we should be prepared to fight America's Collectivists with every bit as much passion and resolve as we fought the Soviets...yes, that would make Mudboy happy."

"Sixty percent of the public is against what we want to do. Just as sixty percent of the population is against what the Democrats want to do. The wishy washy 20 percent in the middle wants to do nothing. They keep saying,"Can't we just get along?" The object is to get the 60 percent opposed to the Democrats to vote against Democrats and for Republicans. To do that Republicans have to keep their heads down and make sure the Democrats a$$es are up. That is the current situation."

I guess this is the core of our disagreement, my learned yet somewhat mean-spirited FRiend. I don't think you can win a mandate voting for the other guys' Agenda and saying, "Hey, we're not as bad as the other guys." Only 40+% of eligible voters vote anyway, and it ought to be our goal to give folks something to vote FOR, while still accepting the votes of those who simply--and understandably--vote AGAINST the DemonRATS. There are a lot of voters who have become disillusioned by too many years of Republicrat/Demoblican Milquetoast Moderation...let's not take them for granted and we should see an impassioned turnout for the Right in both '02 and '04!!

But then Ol' Slick Willie jokes, "Let's have another toke!"
Tells us 'bout his briefs, then laughs while his intern goes down.
Well, if I had my way with this Apostle From Hope,

I'd hang 'im up high and let 'im swing 'til Dem Lib'rals Cow'r!!!

Well, you know what's wrong with the world today,
People done gone thrown their values away,
They livin' by the "Law of Slick Willie" not the "Law of the Land."
Well, the Good Book says it so I need no more proof...
"A Lie's Still a Lie and The Truth's Still The Truth!!"
Bill better watch what he's sayin', Law's closin' in on him,
Can't you Sheeple see it?! Slick's a Felon, Men!!!!

Now I'm the kinda man who wouldn't harm a mouse,
But if I ketch somebody breakin' in MUD's House,
I gotta full-blown ars'nal waitin' on the other side!
So don't go a pushin' me against my will,
I don't wanna fight ya but I durn sure will,
So if you don't want trouble you better just pass me on by!
Becuz as far as I'm concerned, There Ain't No Excuse...
For Slick's Rapin', Mad Bombin', and Power Abuse!!
But I gotta way to put an end to all that madness...
We'll just put them Lib'rals back on the Boat,
Send 'em all First-class and make sure that it floats,
Send 'em all 'round the world and leave 'em wherever they like best!!!

Well, you know what's wrong with the world today,
People done gone put their Bibles away...
They livin' by the "Law of Dem Lib'rals" not "The Law of the Land."
Well, the Good Book says it, so I need no more proof,

Hey Mud!!

I understand what you mean, BUT....it is VERY difficult having an intelligent debate with the opposition, when the opposition isn't intelligent.

WOW!! My little Visit to LibertyPost.org sure opened my eyes as to how anti-Bush some over there have become!! I love some of the ex-FReepers who've ended up over there, but the place is dominated by too many anti-American zealots, IMHO.

Gettin' too much like the DemonRAT Underground.

mud, may i be a phrophet for fall '04???

the DIMocRATS will lose 6 seats in the Senate, the filibusters will end AND the DIMs by '08 will be a northeastern & west coast party ONLY, which controls NOTHING!

the country is primed for a NEW national party to emerge, as the middle of the road folks (the independents) see no future in either current party.
