This is an old article, but the implications are intriguing.

  1. 2003 --Corruption of UN Oil for Food program keeps children malnourished.
  2. 2003 -- UN doesn't want US to help Iraqi people get back on their own feet.
  3. Supplefer gets most distribution, if children are unable to have access to good food.
  4. Heinz manufactures Supplefer.

Maybe someone like Sean Penn can go over to Iraq and investigate this angle.

Mean while, here's another headline about Annan's Heinz Award:

Kofi Annan will chide U.S. in Heinz lecture The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review ^ | Tuesday, October 21, 2003 | Karen Roebuck

Heinz' involvement in Oil for Food should be detailed. Really.

I also remember back late last year, maybe around the time Kerry was talking about Chirac, he said he spoke to, or had someone speak to Kofi Annan about Iraq.
