But he said yesterday he did not resent his captors and Camp Delta was not as bad as rural Afghanistan. These people have the full course of indoctrination vis-a-vis the Yankee imperialist infidel crusader yadda yadda yadda.

Then they get a glimpse and they're not going back to dirtistan.
It's why Iran just confiscated 40,000 satellite dishes and China just rounded up a bunch of chat room democracy junkies.

No, it doesn't seem a bit odd to me.
Given the choice of rural Afghanistan or Gitmo, I'd take Gitmo everytime.
