CAPTION THIS: "SOUTH KOREAN POLICE ON NO-NONSENSE ALERT FOR TERRORIST THREAT IN KOREA"

SOUTH KOREA, along with Spain, the UK, Poland, Italy, Japan and others, is among the nations which have sent troops to the Iraqi guerilla war/nation-building operation in support of US efforts. South Korea has expressed shock and extreme concern that a similiar terrorist attack will occur within its borders by Islamofascist bombers, due to such unwavering support of the United States. South Korea's General Election is APRIL 15, with a similiar electoral threat situation as Spain (political parties and candidates opposed to Iraqi mission and South Korean public generally not in support of ROK overseas deployment). Not to mention, the South Korean President, Roh, was impeached just several days ago.

In truth, if they soften against evil, it'd be another feather in evil's cap.

And some of their "non-uniformed" forces can elicit a trickle of urine down the pant leg in sheer fear....maybe the ROK (with Uncle Sam looking the other way) should send in a few "Silmido Island" type teams into some of those markets and bazaars in Baghdad that the US is trying to clean out of suspected Iraqi VC.

Can someone post a picture of some of our airport "security" people for comparison? (I think it'd be funny.)

Sorry for the question, but in a society like South Koreas, can infiltration by a group of bearded Muslims be possible? Won't they stick out like sore thumbs? Even if they are Indonesian al Qaeda-types, wouldn't they would also surely be recognized as 'different'-Orientals since, to other Orientals, they DO NOT look all the same (as opposed to us 'round eyes')?
Just wonderin' whether their fear is a little overblown.....Don't they have more to worry about from their North Korean brethren to the North?

I need to update you.
In addition to hundreds of thousands of other foreigners, including Europeans and Americans now in South Korea, there are also THOUSANDS of Islamic Arabs, already.
The area commonly known as "Hooker Hill" in Itaewon near the US Eighth Army in Yongsan, Seoul, is streaming with Arab and South Asians walking to and fro to their mosque on the hill overlooking the US base below. Further, Islam is starting to increase in adherents from native Korean nationals.

Thanks. From your Post I'm assuming they are importing low level, unskilled laborers (?) that are the source of the suspicions? I was originally making the assumption that they were kind of insular like Japan.

Sorry again.
Japan has been just as POROUS as S. Korea in allowing foreigners (low skilled laborers) in by the boat load, from all over the place. Particularly Brazil and Argentina (which pose no real threat) but also from Iran, Pakistan and Bangaladesh (which do). There is a mosque in central Tokyo packed to the rafters. How many of them are fifth column is anybody's guess...but it makes some of us old timers who remember "less complicated" times when we stayed in Japan -- a little uncomfortable.
