Today, more than 27 cities across the United States -- including Olympia and Seattle -- will host events to remember and celebrate Rachel Corrie's life and work.

A literal calvacade of nitwit liberal enclaves.

Hasan Mansori, government affairs coordinator for the Council on American-Islamic Relations, said Corrie's death has generated "a lot of dialogue among people about the volatile situation in the Middle East."

Gee, CAIR is found slithering about within this cause. What a surprise.

I refuse to honor anyone who does not have the sense to get out of the way of a bulldozer.

Why in the world would this private citizen's actions undertaken in a foreign country in which she was aware of risks ever be grounds for government action or investigation?

What's there to investigate. The ding-bat stood in front of a friendly tank in enemy territory. This ding-bat is one of those who make a strong case for abortion.

Corrie was fighting for tunnels, not a home. Tunnels that were used to sumuggle bomb-making materials to kill Israeli civilians. Corrie's death was was an enemy casualty in the War on Terrorism and should be celebrated the same way we celebrate Abu Abbas' death (or whatever his name was).

There was a great piece on the WSJ op-ed page the other day about Ms. Corrie, by an Israeli thanking her for showing Israelis the meaning of "peace," ie, bombs, dead children, etc.

Ms. Corrie's loss is undoubtedly sad for her family and friends. However, she was a fool for going into a war zone, and worse, was complicit with terrorists, who deprived others of their loved ones.

As the WJS article brought out, she attended Evergreen State College. Need any more be said?

Procession of the Species in Olympia remembers Rachel Corrie
candio., The Electronic Intifada, 29 April 2003

Images of Rachel Corrie on the wall of the Procession Art Studio.

On April 26, 2003, residents of Olympia, Washington took to the streets for the 9th Annual Procession of the Species Celebration. This is the largest Earth Day event in the Pacific Northwest, attracting over 30,000 spectators and 2,500 marchers who don handmade costumes representing Fire, Air, Earth and Water.

Rachel's mother, Cindy Corrie, dances with a young fledgling.
This year's march was especially meaningful due to the presence of 100-150 peace doves in honor of Olympia native Rachel Corrie, who lost her life on March 16 while undertaking peacekeeping work in the Palestinian refugee camp of Rafah.

Rachel was instrumental in producing the first gathering of over 30 peace doves that marched in 2002 and her spirit was deeply felt by this year's doves. A prominent dove was Rachel's mother, Cindy Corrie, whose dove mask featured a single tear drop.

Others in the group were friends and associates of Rachel, some of whom found the experience intensely emotional as they both mourned and celebrated Rachel's life. Many were seen wiping tears and hugging before the march. Some of these same people had wore the dove costumes to the March memorial service for Rachel at The Evergreen State College, also in Olympia.

Many doves had photos and symbols of Rachel incorporated into their costumes. Other doves included children, local peace activists and college students. Several had made their costumes at weekly gatherings at the Procession Art Studio where photographs of Corrie were hung in remembrance.

The block long procession of flapping, cooing and swirling doves was met by loud cheers and spirited applause as it made it's way along the mile plus route through the heart of Olympia.

After the parade, a gathering was planned for Rachel in the Muslim tradition of remembrance on the 40th day of death. A day long fast was to be broken with a communal meal of soup and bread. A similar 40th day tribute was also held in Portland, OR on April 25th to "commemorate her life and commitment to justice and the Palestinian people."

Baird said he still is waiting to see the full report and accompanying video evidence.

Baird should do a Google search and look at the photo sequences posted by Corrie's supporters.

It's pretty obvious she was in front of a mound of rubble and rebar, and that a piece of rebar smacked her in the face when she got too close to the bulldozer. Unfortunately, its the kind of accident that's not unusual when people are around heavy equipment.

But the photos clearly prove that Corrie wasn't "run over" by the bulldozer or anything of the kind.

There was a young girl Rachel Corrie
Who had visions of terrorist glory
She wielded a bullhorn trigger
but the Jewish bulldozer was bigger
And it squished her right into the floory.

Laura Gordon, a 20-year-old American Jew who recently returned from spending 10 months in Rafah, will discuss the impact of Corrie's death.

Corrie's death was from impact of a bulldozer. Next.

Chances seem dim for a U.S. investigation into the death of The Evergreen State College student Rachel Corrie, who was killed trying to help Islamic terrorists.

She should be honored. I think they're called Darwin Awards.

Rachel had a narrow view of the world, now the the world has a narrow view of her!

First she was wrong, now she is flat wrong.
