The Apocrypha including the book of Maccabees was cannonized and then un-cannonized by the early "Church Fathers". Either way, it is a valid book of the Bible...maybe not as important as the law and the prophets, but historically valid and accurate. I think that as Mel stated, that it would make a great story. This Protestant would go and see it. I think Peter Jackson could do a great Revelation too, if he put the same energy in to it as he did the Lord of the Rings.

I've always thought the book of Acts would make a great movie. Someone would do well to produce it.

I would go see it to learn some stuff I don't read in the real Bible. It would be interesting, and is historically accurate, just not inspired.

This has to be one of the most inaccurate statements I've read on FR.
The entire canon was not known till like 362. Nobody had the complete set till 362 or so.
There was no "apocrypha" -- that's the protestant version of things.

I hope Revelations will not be given the big screen treatment...I just sense there is too much going on in the world that Revelations would currently verify and a movie would be a distraction to many people. On the other hand wouldn't it be just like God to give the whole ending away, just to prove that even if people were given the truth, they would deny Christ any-way.
