Yeah I know the old America was founded as a Christian nation argument. There is only one thing that can be said in response to that. That was then, this is now, get over it. Your post sounds a lot like your moniker - Kerberos...the hounds of Hades. Confess: what is it you hate about Jesus Christ?

the hounds of Hades.
Actually in Greek mythology it is the guardians to the gates of hell. It is also an authentication program developed by MIT that is used when you login on to the Windows 2000 platform. What can I say; I was studying for the Windows 2000 exam when I created my account.

And I don't hate Jesus, but then again I make it a point not to hate anything. I just don't believe in Christian doctrine and I oppose theocrats that would have it shoved down our throats by legal means.
If they want to believe in Jesus and follow a moral code that is set forth in the Bible, fine, have at it. But when I don't follow suit don't try having me hauled into court and persecuted.
And please don't give me the old destruction of society argument, that if everyone does not follow the Bible that society as we know it will collapse. How many years have the Christians been using that to justify their actions?
It simply has no foundation in fact then, now, or in the future.
