I agree with you to a point. Did you read some of his last posts? The cruelty of some of the FReepers did not help the situation.
I know what you are saying because I was an office manager for 2 Psychiatrists and 5 therapists. If a person is depressed and set to suicide, nothing can help it, but some things can certainly hurt the situation.
My point was not as much the situation with that FReeper, only as a point of reference, but this one. If this man is taking a website this seriously, it is not good. People can be cruel because they do not know who they are talking to and are basically faceless. People forget that there are humans behind those screens. I resolved after the tragedy to be kinder and understand that I could walk away from FR and no one would ever notice.

I'll agree to a certain extent...however, I can't sit here and not post things because I don't know if tomorrow, the person I am responding to, will go out and harm themselves tomorrow.

Ferret posts regularly on LP..I think if he has those tendencies, he is more likely to act on them by reading the posts over there than on here.
