As it turns out, the one I found in the book wasn't the same one, but coincidentally lives just down the street from this guy. How odd is that? The TV news identified his street name tonight, and it's no more than 2-3 blocks from the other one. It's really close to Obetz, more so than Grove City. It sounds like someone in his family suspected that he may have been tied to the shootings and maybe sent in a few tips or something.

I've been looking over the latest wire reports on this thing, and there's still no mention of what this guy does, exactly. You'd think the media would report it if he was a cop, but after watching the police news conference yesterday, I get the impression that they're not getting a lot of info from the cops, and are pretty much doing any digging on their own.

McCoy drives a dark green four-door 1999 Geo Metro Geez, no wonder this guy is angry at the world.

I just heard on the FOX News that it was his mother who called the police to report him as a missing person. Then I guess she spilled her suspicions about his "odd behaviour with guns". After that, all it took was to collect his guns and match them up ballistically with bullets from the crime scenes.
I hope he left all his guns behind when he took off.

I don't think this guy was on the police force. The newspaper today said he was mentally unstable and a paranoid schizophrenic. Hopefully no law enforcement would ever have someone like that on their force.

His mother (with whom he lived) did file a missing person report, said that he has been missing since Friday. But neighbors said they were sure they had seen him at the house sometime on Monday. Apparently his father turned two of his guns over to the police on Friday, and the 9mm Beretta was a ballistic match to the casings they recovered from some of the scenes. Sounds like his mother and father were not together. They have two different addresses, but are in the same part of town.

He sure sounds like the Real McCoy, or the right McCoy, anyway. Let's just hope that he's found before he hurts anyone else.

LOL That is so true. Michiganders find it hard to break the speed habit from one state to the other.
Friend of ours was going to be traveling through Ohio from Michigan & was having the AAA person mark up the Trip-tik for best routes. The agent put a great big red circle around Ohio & wrote "Speed Trap" inside.

You have a pretty nice home page yourself. I'm in total agreement with you all the way down to the preference in music.

Tonight they are saying he bought a new gun--a semiautomatic--and ammo before he took off.
Be careful out there, Ohio FReepers!
