I believe quite a few states have gone digital with licensing drivers. When I first got my license back in the 80s the camera was one of those Polaroid 'Instamatics'. When I renewed a few years ago here in Oregon, they shot my pic with what looked like a fancy (read ---> EXPENSIVE) webcam and my license popped out of a nifty printer/laminator, complete with a nifty barcode and mag-stripe. I am sure all of the bits including my mug are sitting on a hard drive somewhere waiting for the authorities to pull it up on a terminal when needed.

Have you ever driven from Michigan into Ohio?
The traffic in Michigan goes at 90 miles an hour and everyone hits the brake when they get to the Ohio line.
It's kinda funny! :o)

The Franklin County Sheriff's Office said Charles A. McCoy Jr., 29, should be considered armed and dangerous. Investigators did not provide a hometown. Perhaps the cops should try switchboard.com.

I hope this is the guy too.
He's been expanding his territory, and it's a bit disconcerting.
I agree though, Nan.....no reason to stop traveling to Columbus.

Think this one took his fight on the road...was probably shooting at anyone who looked like a Hatfield.

Charles A. McCoy Jr., 29 Any relation to the McCoy family that used to run Bank One? Or just a common name?

You should be more scared about driving in Ohio with out of state plates. For some reason they attract cops to pull you over for speeding.
It doesn't matter what state you are from, the Ohio Highway Patrol doesn't care.
If you are speeding in Ohio, chances are better than the average state that you'll get a ticket. Perhaps it may seem higher for out-of-state drivers because they are not as familiar with the aggressiveness and tactics of the Ohio Highway Patrol as a Ohio citizen would be.

Well, hopefully they won't pull me over because I never speed. Set that cruise control.

That's because the Ohio Highway Patrol is brainwashed into thinking that 67 in a 65 zone on a straight freeway that is actually safe to go 90 on is a threat to the safety of society. I know those guys, and they take their job of speed traps way too seriously. I see the same number of people with in state vs. out of state plates pulled over all the time. Averages about 6 to 8 cars or trucks (they have to go 55) between Wheeling and Zanesville all the time. The ironic thing is, they don't even use unmarked cars.

I hate it when the perp looks like a clean-cut guy I wouldn't mind having as a neighbor. I wish they all looked more like John Kerry.

I checked in the white pages and there is a CA McCoy with an address that would put him in an ideal spot for when the shootings began. It's in between Obetz and 270, just east of 71. Don't want to put it out in black & white in case it's just coincidental. I hope they get this guy tonight! I'll be on the lookout when I get out there.
