MADRID, Spain - Spaniards voted Sunday in a general election thrown wide open by a reported al-Qaida claim that it staged deadly rail bombings last week to punish the government for supporting the U.S.-led war in Iraq.

Still reeling from the bombings, which killed 200 and wounded more than 1,500, voters entered the booths, grim faced and speaking in whispers.

The article is a liberal media masterpiece, complete with multiple quotes from protesting Spaniards who say they will now vote against the conservative candidate because the bombings are the fault of the government siding with the U.S. in the war on terror and the war in Iraq.

I just hope the spaniards will take the time to ask themselves why there were AQ sleeper cells in their country to begin with before they vote.

I hope Spaniards ask themselves... WHO DO THE TERRORISTS WANT TO BE IN CHARGE OF SPAIN?

And, then vote against the socialists, those socialists who are, beyond a doubt, the appeasers of islamic and Eta terrorism.

Yeah, I read the latest AP piece on Spain and its elections. Reprehesible trash illustrating, once again, that the mainstream media cannot be trusted to convey truth! These were a few of my favorites... so to speak.

Protesters shouted "murderer" at the ruling party candidate as he cast his ballot.

Some voters also blamed the government for Spain's worst terror attack...

...voter Ernesto Sanchez-Gey, 48, said: "I wasn't planning to vote and I'm here today because the Popular Party is responsible for murders here and in Iraq.... Also, they accused ETA of the attack when they knew all along that it wasn't." (right of out the MoveOn.org playbook)

Thousands of people rallied overnight against the Popular Party, saying it should be thrown out of power for drawing al-Qaida's wrath.

At least the Left is globally consistent. They're never right about anything!

The socialists mobilized very quickly. Do I have a nasty mind in having a slight suspicion that they might have had some advance notice?

That was implied in the statements of PP officials - some feeling that left-wing parties, if not the PSOE (Spanish Socialist party) itself, had coordinated this.

The PSOE denied it, of course, but that doesn't mean that some of Spain's many leftist splinter parties weren't involved in it (to the delight of the PSOE).

When will the results be out?

The polls close at 1900 GMT (2 pm EST), first results should be 90 minutes later, and final results should be in at 2230 GMT (5:30 pm EST).

Thanks--looks like we don't have long to wait.

Gee, they don't keep polls open long, do they?

The Spaniards face a clear choice between fighting back or
cultural (and eventually personal) suicide.

The interesting thing will be how AlQ interprets the
results, and subsequently acts.

If the vote is pro-terrorist, this will embolden AlQ to
think that they can influence elections. If so, expect
them to attempt to do so in the U.S. general. They might
even openly endorse Kerry.

If the vote is anti-terrorist, will AlQ learn anything
from that? Or will they conclude that they didn't try hard
enough?

Wonder if they have any polling projections, or whether they are civilized and democratized enough to avoid that business...

Some voters also blamed the government for Spain’s worst terror attack, saying President Jose Maria Aznar invited the attention of Osama bin Laden’s terror group by allying Spain with Washington in the invasion that ousted Saddam Hussein.

The use of the word "some" as in "some voters" is a typical liberal method of obstensily providing facts while conveying a message not necessarily supported by those facts. The word "some" is extremely vague. There are millions of Spanish voters. I am sure I could interview enough of them to find three or four (i.e., "some") who believe that Elvis is alive, that OJ is innocent, or that Monica never was splattered with Clinton's DNA.

A more useful analysis, by a real journalist, would indicate what the overall sentiment was. Such as,
"I interviewed fifty-three people and seven of them blamed the Spanish government for the incident, 34 believed it was purely the fault of Al Quaida and 12 were unsure." That would be a lot more useful than "some." But, of course, it might not support a liberal agenda.

This mindset comes from 30 yrs of Israeli bashing, and Arafat defending.

It is why the Islamic death cults have been murdering with impunity for decades.

Until George W. Bush, who was the first to say that no political disagreement warrents the murder of innocents, and backed up those statements with military action.

It will take many more years for the public world-wide to understand that the Islamics are NOT the victims the media portrays them as.

Prediction: Major conservative gains in the Spanish Parliament. Spain already has major issues with North African immigration and territorial disputes with Algeria. The recent bombings are just the last straw vis-a-vis the Arabs.

When Spain starts cleaning up Al-Qaeda and the rest of the towel-head suicide groups, look for Holland to be the next target (my guess). The Dutch (and Danes)are talking about registering and deporting Arabs, big time.

It is pathetically sickening. Listen to some of these quotes, which demonstrate the sick, traitorous mentality of the Left wing globally:

"Protesters shouted 'murderer' at the ruling party candidate as he cast his ballot."

"'I wasn't planning to vote, but I am here today because the Popular Party is responsible for murders here and in Iraq,' said Ernesto Sanchez-Gey, 48, who voted in Barcelona."

"Many Spaniards entered voting booths grim-faced, and some wore handwritten badges that said 'peace.'"

And of course, the wires reporting this, the phony liberal news here in America and abroad, can hardly even contain their glee, their joy, at such response as they report it- they hope the same will be here in the US and help John F'ing Kerry's bid so that we will lose the war on terrorism.

The ruling party candidate Mariano Rajoy only holds about a 3 to 5 percentage point lead over the Socialists Jose the Pig Luis Rodriguez Zapatero, and the turn out is now 5.5 percent higher than normal with the insanity of people whom are making such quotes go to the polls in Spain.

In other words, the increase in turn out is because too many in Spain have decided if we just leave the terrorists alone, maybe they won't hurt anybody, and that it's better to just do nothing and let the terrorist network grow larger and more powerful and maybe they won't do anything to someone in Spain - it's more important (for these idiots) that a Socialist who hates America wins anyway, because (for these idiots) Bush is the enemy, not the terrorists. It sounds a lot like the Kerry campaign.

I took down the flag of Spain.

By tomorrow, I may be spitting on it. I said I would wait and see who they blame. It looks like, typical of the Left, the same Left who I say is actually supporting the terrorist networks, they blame their own government, not the terrorists. By tomorrow, I may be spitting on it. I see the same people in San Francisco. In the open, they use this rhetoric. Behind the scenes, more than a few are actually aiding the terrorists knowingly. I think the West is committing suicide, at least Europe is.

I took down the flag of Spain.

Yeah! I instinctively put mine in the trash when I saw it on the desk this afternoon. My sympathy and solidarity had turned to disgust since printing it and wearing it home on Friday. I'll continue to support Men! I don't know what manner of invertebrate resides in Spain. I no longer have any desire to find out.

Dare we hope that America is still the home of Men... John Kerry notwithstanding.
