[history]
The same people behind anti-war demonstrations that tied up San Francisco's downtown a year ago, led to 2,300 arrests and cost the city more than $2 million are planning to do it again.
Only this time, when activists fan out from Justin Herman Plaza during morning rush hour Friday, organizers with Direct Action to Stop the War expect their protest to be "a little more mellow."

Looks like a good day for some of the US-based Al Quaeda cells to travel to SF.

Thank you for these details. Can you please describe for me the "super-sock" bean bag? (If you know)? How's it work?

Actually, given that headlines are posting that "LA" (los Angeles) is up for sale; might be their next target.

You know what else is interesting? Nowhere on the Direct Action flier is the word...(drum roll)... RACISM. It's their standard. This is the first time I've NOT seen it included on their flier.
Meanwhile, 7 southern California colleges are being hit with acts of RACISM (or "hate"). Curioser and curioser..

The cops should use tear gas and batons to crack some heads, both of which they didn't use last year.
In Oakland, I saw the news footage of the incident. One of the protestors threw a bottle (you could see and hear it break), then other stuff flew and then the cops protected themselves with the beanbag guns.

What I liked to do as military security is hold 'em down & shoot mace or pepper-spray directly up their nostril. They thought coke & smoke gave 'em a rush....:-)
