It was a beautiful, if chilly, morning here in Richmond, Va. as four, perennial peaceniks approached the corner of Boulevard and Broad. We thought that at least twenty or thirty would show up. Maybe 9:00 a.m. was too early. They walked in single file, the leader carrying a sign that said "BUILD PEACE".
It's certainly hard to argue with "BUILD PEACE". Look how diligently Americans are building peace in Afghanistan and Iraq. Literally building schools, hospitals, water systems, pipelines, roads, electrical systems and distribution systems. All necessary not just to live but to prosper in peace.
They are building peace through liberation. They are building peace by removing the scourge of terror and fear from the lives of people who have suffered horribly. And they are building peace by laying down their lives for their fellow man.
Five of us were there to meet the silent protestors with a "Good Morning!" greeting, American flags and support the troops signs.
In attendance were GottaLuvAkitas, tva, Al, Darrell and Flora McDonald.
God bless our Troops. God bless our President. God bless America.

Our peaceniks are having their big spring march next weekend. It would be grand if we have another group as big as we had today. We had 8 this morning, and we had such a good time.

A bunch of Virginians & DC FReepers are going down to Ft. Bragg/Fayetteville, NC on the 20th for a Troop Rally so look for reports next weekend.

That was a good turnout. I think there is a backlash building to all this awful anti-America, anti-God, anti-President Bush proganda and people are slowly but surely getting energized and looking for ways to make their voices heard.

I want all of you to know that without the organization, insight and patients of Flora McDonald this action today would not have happened. She used to go to this all by herself (Bless her heart). I don't know about all of you, but I call that Dedication to the infinite power!!
Floria has been a God sent to me and my husband. We are new to being active in politics, and Floria has taken us under her wing and shown us only kindness and much help. As we stumble through this trying to learn the ropes so to speak Floria always wears a smile.
She along with other members of the Richmond Conservative Forum have welcomed us with open arms. We share a common goal to ensure Bushes re-election. I can not thank her enough for all that she does, but I hope Floria knows how much she is needed and appreciated.
I had a great time today, and I hope all of you are as fortunate as I am today.
