I heard a story about a 'respected' pollster that they don't have phone books for the 6 most conservative states: OK, Miss.,SD.,UT...

Most polls don't mean jack. Its just liberal propaganda so their troops don't get dejected and stay home on election day.

[now leads Kerry 56% to 33% in Republican-loyal, or "red," states, 51% to 38% in the South]

This is good news for the open Senate seats in the South. Bush could provide much needed coattails in our effort to break the RAT filibuster in the Senate.

With the retirees heading south to Florida and those that are fed up with the liberal crap going on in Maryland and heading north of the Mason-Dixon Line (based on the building boom that is happening) don't count Pennsylvania out in any election.

After all we do have republicans as our senators, yes one is left leaning and hopefully come April we'll correct that problem as well.

I believe that when Americans get into that voting booth they are not going to see Effin Kerry as the protector of their safety. Let's stick with the man that is already doing a good job of it: George W. Bush.

I was talking to somebody who wanted to know why the Republicans couldn't fix it so we could all buy our drugs in Canada and pay the same price Canadians do. I explained that the Canadian drug market is like the Quickie Mart next to the Shopping Mall, and that the US drug market is the 900-pound-gorilla of the pharmaceutical business. I also pointed out that as more and more efficiency incentives are removed as more and more drugs are covered by insurance or the government, the price will only rise. If people want to pay Canadian prices, what they are really advocating is centralized price negotiation and purchasing, as is done in Canada. But if the drug companies are not able to recover costs in the US, why are they going to spend the time and effort to create new drugs?

I explained that I look forward to a long, crotchety dotage. That I look forward to the US pharmaceutical industry creating a whole slew of new drugs with the express purpose of keeping my sorry butt alive and an annoyance to my grand-children and great-grand-children. If the US drug market is centralized, those "miracle" drugs will never be produced, and it will, in all probability, shorten my life. I take it very personally when somebody tries to shorten my life.

I think this person was surprised that there was more to the story than the sound bite. That it was not simply a matter of us all driving across the Rainbow Bridge at Niagara to pick up our prescriptions. Once the Democrat voter looks a little deeper, they will see how little substance there is to Kerry and the whole Democratic Party on a whole range of issues.

It is for us to explain this to them. Gently, but persuasively. We are asking them to change, to give up on something that has been near and dear to them for years. This will not be easy for them, and we should be compassionate.

This is indeed great news. I'm hoping that as the public begins to pay attention and becomes more aware of Kerry's positions, it will be GWB by a landslide. Some pundit said as a rule, an incumbent never wins by a small margin and if the numbers are close in November, there will be a new party in office come January. However I don't believe the country was ever as divided as it's been since 2000 so I take it with a grain.

Anybody know where Bob Brinkers got his Florida polls that he was gloating over today on his money show! He's turned out to be a 3 hour rara for the D's. He's been looing it from time to time and even calling for no more electorial college...that's nuts. He lives in FL. I just don't believe Bush is behind Kerry in Fl...help...thanks.

This is the absolute worst time to live in NYC. All I hear is how evil Bush is. How he is committing "criminal acts" against the "environment", murdering Muslims, lying and deceiving the people, blah blah blah. And there is no reasoning with these fools.

I think what has started to hurt Senator Kerry in the last week or so are:

1. Kerry's condescending attitude towards the Republicans. That open mike remark of his will come back to haunt him very quickly.

2. Kerry's dislike of The Passion of the Christ (which has made over US$200 million and has created a Christian revival of sorts) could cause him to lose a LOT of votes among devout Christians very quickly.

3. People are starting to look at Kerry's US Senate voting record. They sure don't like the fact he votes even more liberal than Senator Ted Kennedy.

4. The shocking terrorist attacks in Madrid, Spain that left over 200 dead and thousands injured (using a style of attack that has all the hallmarks of an al-Qaeda-style operation) has made Kerry's comments about the threat of terrorism all the more hollow.

5. People are starting to discover that Kerry has a speaking style that bores people to tears, even more so than Albert Gore, Jr.! Even former Massachusetts governor Michael Dukakis didn't bore you to tears when he spoke.

In short, the bloom is off Kerry's rose.

sthis far out are meaningless. The vast majority of folks don't make up their minds until at least the week before an election, if not on Election Day itself! We just have to stay positive!

Thanks, Dog! It's a good start. I'll sleep better tonight.

I hope and pray the lead will widen and not stop as Kerry continues to prove that he has nothing to say except "I am not Bush", and as Bush continues to remind us of his presidential achievements and his plans for the SAFE and SECURE future of our great nation.

In the end, people will vote for the patriot, not for the traitor.

I don't think they can switch [to Hitlary] as late as October. Presidential elections are state-by-state, not national. They would have to get 50 states (or at least enough for a majority) to violate various filing deadlines and to reprint ballots. Sure, they can do this in a corrupt 'Rat state like New Jersey. But not in anywhere enough states to win the election.

Shortly after the Republican convention, in late August, I suspect most states will have accepted the filings for the recognized political party electors and candidates names, in accordance with various state deadlines. From that point forward, the 'Rats are stuck.

If they switch to Hitlary, I predict they do it before the 'Rat convention, in late July. This would let them use the convention to rally the politicos around the new candidate.

Essentially, they need a corrupt Party to switch before the convention, but many corrupt states to switch much after.

A corrupt 'Rat party is much more likely in my view.
