Bodies of seven children age 8 and younger are discovered after Marcus Wesson, 57, surrenders and is arrested after a 2-hour standoff.

At a small home near Roeding Park where authorities found a stack of nine bodies in one room and 10 caskets in another, Fresno police on Friday arrested a man suspected of fathering some of the victims and murdering them all.

It's truly horrifying what we are capable of doing.

"Authorities relayed a twisted scene of death at the house, with the bodies of young women and small children intertwined with clothing and stacked together in a back bedroom.

The bodies were so entangled that it took hours for police to confirm the number of dead."

This is confusing me. Had rigor mortis set in making the untwining physically difficult?

Sad, sad situation!

This guy has been in where I work around 3 months ago. He has a very distinctive look. The hair, thick and in a long pony tail gives him away. And just like the story reads, the two young women with him were very conservativley dressed, and looked odd with him, he is pretty "rough" looking. Everyone at work was talking about them, mostly comments on how this guy looked. Still looking for a better picture, none available yet.

In any given homicide scene, it will be a couple of hours before anyone is allowed to touch the bodies. So, if they were intertwined, it would be difficult to know for sure until they could be separated.

The details have yet to be released. But, I am sure the media will reveal more details on this thru the day.

Local media has been updating this story every little bit, since yesterday afternoon. Plus, two of the chaplains attend my church, so we should be able to get more inside info tomorrow morning.

But the constant comment yesterday during the live broadcast was perhaps a "cultic" or ritualistic murder. I suspect the bodies were arranged in a cross shape or something bizzar, like that.

Let's just save some time in future articles:

"They were good neighbors. He let me borrow his rake, once. I can't believe he'd hurt a fly."

"He seemed like a nice man. He never hollored or anything."

"He was always pleaseant. He never gave any indication he was capable of violence."

I'm sure there can always be more. But, this is usually the kind of lines repeated by everyone in contact with a serial killer or mass murderer.

If they had any suspicion that just one of them was alive they would have yanked and tugged to get to the one person. Crime scene evidence wouldn't be a concern then.

Ritual? Caskets?

"She also said residents of the home cooked something with a particularly foul odor two or three times a week: "It smelled real ugly. Everybody complained, but we never thought anything about it."

OMG.

Maybe a Charles Manson type --- what would attract women to a freak like this?

True. And if no one was killed there wouldn't be a homicide scene!

Police Chief Jerry Dyer said: "There may have been some kind of ritual involved...

The next logical step in this story is this will all be blamed on Mel Gibson and The Passion!
