THEIR march will start on the far right side of this map - at Hollywood & Vine,And OUR rally will start on the east side of that intersection.
go "all the way around the barn" (as it were)
and end with a rally on the west side of that intersection.
Note: With our NEW start time, we will now be in position BEFORE their "parade" gets started. :o)
"...to the main rally point and stage, which will be on Hollywood just east of Highland in the street in front of the Kodak Theatre." - www.answerla.orgAs I posted previously:
WRONG, dogbreath. :o)The Kodak Theater is WEST of Highland...The GOOD GUYS (i.e.: OUR rally) will be EAST of Highland.
From Google:THEIR "anti-war" rally will be at about the center of this image.
OUR "Defend America!" rally will be at the base of that tall white building - which is on the NORTHEAST corner of Hollywood & Highland - on the righthand edge of this image.

High Noon
The 1952 movie starring Gary Cooper and Grace Kelly is a western classic. Cooper plays a man "torn betwixt love and duty" - Love for his wife, a Quaker, and duty to the town he swore to protect. It is not your typical western. It's one of the rare films played in real time. The whole story takes place in only 85 minutes as the clock ticks along toward the showdown at high noon. The use of the song, Do not forsake me, Oh my darling, as a comment on the action was very unusual for the time. The heartbeat quality of the song's bass accompaniment gave a haunting sense of urgency to the approaching confrontation. The dynamic editing style and the serious adult subject matter made High Noon a completely different kind of western, considered by many to be the definitive western. Even fifty years later, it is well worth seeing!

Demonstrators gather in U.S. cities to demand pull-out from Iraq
Associated Press
LOS ANGELES - Thousands of demonstrators chanting "George Bush, Uncle Sam, Iraq will be your Vietnam," marched through Hollywood, holding signs as part of a worldwide protest against the U.S. occupation of the country.
The protest drew an estimated 3,000 people, including disabled Vietnam veteran Ron Kovic, author of "Born on the Fourth of July." Kovic addressed the rally, saying, "the same government that paralyzed me and put me in this wheelchair" was killing Americans and Iraqis.
No injuries or arrests were reported.
Similar rallies were held in Boston and San Francisco, and followed international protests Saturday in London, Athens, Paris and other cities.
The peaceful march and rally Sunday on Sunset Boulevard drew a wide group from war veterans to parents with children. Some demonstrators carried signs saying, "Lying Son of a Bush," and "Iraq Equals Quagmire."
"We are supposed to be a democratic, free nation and I want to express my feelings against this criminal administration," said Pilar Happori, 58, of Garden Grove. "This is a dangerous administration for destroying not only the U.S., but the world."
In Boston, an estimated 150 protesters demonstrating the government's Iraq policy, the Palestinian cause and other issues waved rainbow flags and chanted as they marched behind a pickup truck from the city's Copley Square to the Park Plaza Hotel. No arrests were reported.
At a rally following the march in Los Angeles, Democratic presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich said that U.S. troops should be pulled out of Iraq and replaced by international forces.
"We need to get the U.N. in and the U.S. out," Kucinich said. "There can be a way to extricate this nation from the quicksand of Iraq."
Fernando Suarez del Solar of Escondido, who said his 20-year-old son died in March while fighting in Iraq, led the crowd in chants of "Bring them home now!"
"My son was a peace lover. He was a soldier for peace, not for oil," said Suarez, holding a picture of his son in his Marine uniform.
Code Pink, a women's pro-peace group, unveiled a 40-long "pink slip" during the rally that read, "Rumsfeld, you're dishonorably discharged."
The protest was the first major demonstration in Los Angeles since Saddam Hussein's regime was ousted. Several coffins were rolled through the streets by supporters of a free Palestine movement.
