That is the concept. That is why Bush introduced the small business incentives. All good has it's bad though. Small business Outsourcing is wide open to scams because the checks and balances aren't as tightly controlled. But at the same time, stimulating small business growth induces employment and business economy wise.

America was founded on entrepreneurial principles. Unfortunately all in the business know how aren't the ones teaching the youth.

The meter reader I referred to sued the city and received a HUGE settlement. Therefore, the city decided it would not risk that ever happening again. I felt very sorry for the other meter readers who lost their jobs.

I think that's what troubles me most about these business decisions is the lack of conscience regarding the workers who are displaced. In many cases the businesses are making heady profits and they use projections that never formulate as the basis for the layoffs that occur. The remaining workers then must then pick up the work and don't receive one iota of extra pay or thanks for the added burden. This is without one single bit of outsoucing overseas. They use the economy as their basis for worker tyranny while management types get huge bonuses and raises for saving the company money. It isn't just the big companies, it's prevalent in this country anymore and it adds to the lack of respect people have for leadership and the ever-growing crime rates. Off my soap box. Sorry for the rant.
