WASHINGTON (CNN) -- This week's deadly train bombings in Spain will not lead to a rise in the U.S. color-coded terror threat alert system, a Department of Homeland Security spokesman said Friday.

"Based on the current intelligence, we have no specific indicators that terrorist groups are considering such an attack in the U.S. in the near term," said department spokesman Brian Roehrkasse.

You are right. They are ticked, but when haven't they been.

I've been so fed up with this group of murdering thugs for so long I could scream. And I will, to anyone that is within earshot. I'm glad Isreal wiped that scum from the earth. I'm glad the US didn't condemn it. I hope Isreal continues to kill these murderous snakes.

And if they hit the US, they better be at peace with Allah.

Being afraid isn't the solution; increasing your level of vigilance is probably a good idea.

Whether they can carry out the threats is difficult to assess with a 100% degree of accuracy. Unless the Israelis are very very fortunate they are going to be hit hard in relatiation.

The probability is high that US will probably sustain attacks on overseas interests, including our troops in the middle east.

What remains to be seen - and I don't think anyone has the answer with any degree of certainty - is whether or not there are agents here who are prepared to carry out a homicide bombing here.

It wouldn't take many - it would only take a few. So I think the risk is there. They could do plenty of damage by downloading plans from the net, and assembling then with a short shopping list at Walmart.

Watching the news tonight we heard a reporter say something about Yassin being a sixty-something-year-old confined to a wheelchair & my husband said something to the effect of "Well there's one for Leon Klinghoffer."

Perhaps you are correct, but I just don't see a change in their attitude. They've always wanted the Israel and the US destroyed. They are working towards it every day. While the cry on the street may be louder today, it is no different.

I don't wish any more danger for any of our troops. Nor for the Israelis.

I think the Israelis did the right thing. They never should have let the guy out of prison in the first place. They always get raked over in those prisoner exchanges :(

Hizbollah leader Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah had earlier said that Israel would pay a heavy price for Yassin's killing.

Yassin's Hamas group has killed hundreds of Israelis in suicide bombings since the start of a Palestinian uprising more than three years ago.

Israeli warplanes had swooped over southern Lebanon and the eastern Bekaa Valley earlier in the day.

Earlier today it was reported that Yassin had his own brother killed. They stated that Yassin suspected his brother of working with Israel. One day Yassin made his brother lay down in an open grave and then ordered one of his men to shoot and kill his brother.

rickylc you can rant all you want. I am just being realistic. When I saw that that evil man was taken out last night my heart was gleeful but also heavy. I thought a lot about our guys over there in the mix.

indie being locked and loaded is not going to do you any good if you are in a grocery store, a mall, etc., where we are not allowed to pack. Those people (jihadist, suicide bombers) will not fight in that manner on our soil. Now if they become bold enough to start strolling down the streets of the US with their kalashnikovs that a horse of a different color.

It was on a page which prominently displayed a poor Spanish victim of the "Train of Death" with a metal beam lodged in his head.

Anyway, I have a question about the arabic translation of SB.
I am trying to decipher it myself (ha ha)

The SB in arabic is a wide u with a dot under it connected to a small rounded off w. To me this translates to SAB not SB. Am I correct???
